"Lebanon is in the midst of a 'darkest' moment. According to LEBANON's LBCI TELEVISION, two of Lebanon's largest power stations were shut down on the 9th due to fuel shortages, plunging the entire country into darkness.

According to the Russian satellite news agency, Lebanon's State Electricity Company (EDL) issued a warning in September that it would have a total and complete power outage due to the depletion of fuel reserves or its own inability to ensure the stability of the grid. The company announced that it had exhausted all the options it could take and all the precautions it could implement. But because the situation is beyond its control, it can no longer provide a minimum amount of power supply.
