The creators of this bloody cult drama intend to create a unique gunfight scene that is already very old-fashioned. The violence, detached from the usual urban context, takes place in a familiar creepy suburban neighborhood. And how many shootouts were played by the white-haired killer played by Billy Connolly (yes, that Billy Connolly) who was smoking a cigar and chattering through the script?

The film's gorgeous homage to the '40s detective series ends with an apt "rat-stomping" episode. As Warren Beatty and his team prepare to destroy a gangster nightclub, Al Pacino and his gang of villains (whose names include "Flat Top," "Itch," and "Pruneface," among others) drive their age cars, knocking on garage doors and tomm shooting at gunback.

Pick a random clip from this Classic Hong Kong film and you're likely to see some crazy gun battles. It is here that Wu Yusen's aesthetic of violence is vividly reflected. Back in 1989, it's still cool! It also paved the way for Chow's Western career, though he had yet failed to surpass the film.

There were two different Wyatt Elp Westerns in 1993, but this one was definitely the best one. Gunfights are a must for any decent Western, and many iconic gunfights are derived from this genre. Unique in this film is the approach of the combatants, eye-to-eye in an enclosed space, barely obscured.

During the Age of Prohibition in The United States, a mob braved the pouring rain to stand on a city street. Suddenly one fell, then the other fell. In the dark alleys, we saw machine gun fire flashing and the surviving thugs return fire. There was no sound in this scene, but we knew it was definitely deafening. Then, when gang boss Paul Newman's bodyguards are dead, Tom Hanks emerges from the shadows. It's a scene with little dialogue, and with these two masters, who needs it?

The iconic shootout of the De Palma gangster movie is a tribute to Eisenstein's famous Odessa Steps series in Battleship Potemkin. As the slow motion unfolded, a stroller sped down the steps, miraculously avoiding all those annoying bullets.

In this 2003 Western, Kevin Costner walks up to a gunman and asks, "Are you the one who killed our friend?" People who have seen it know what will happen next. It's a gritty, exhausting film that feels like a real Western shootout rather than a Hollywood-style copy.

To kill a lone immigrant and a little girl, how many SWAT teams do you need? A cramped apartment in New York seems less suited to a large-scale shootout, but it's disturbingly amusing as waves of heavily armed police attack the tiny apartment. Here killer Leon single-handedly tackles all the cops and almost escapes.

In real life, it is difficult to encounter those gunfight scenes in movies. But that was not the case with the frenzied shootout on the streets of Los Angeles, which, shortly after the film's release, appeared to spark an attempt by a heavily armed mob to rob a bank. The battle didn't have flashy shots like other robber movies, nor did it have redundant slow motion shots like Wu Yusen's films. This is very true. In fact, this is probably the most realistic gun battle ever filmed, and the real world gun battle surface is even more disturbing.

If you look at Al Pacino's rendition of Tony Montana, you know it can only end that way. Unlike Michael Corleone (or even Carito Brigant), Montana exhibits an unfettered recklessness, which is why he rose and fell. His mansion in Miami was surrounded by his opponent's private army, drunk montana in his final battle—you know. Sit back and enjoy.
