About the list of "China's Top 100 Summer Leisure Counties and Cities"
In 2020, Xiaokang magazine, together with authoritative departments and professional institutions in many countries, created the "100 Counties List Project" for the grass-roots administrative units of China's counties, showing China's brilliant achievements in achieving comprehensive well-off, creating a comprehensive evaluation system for China's county development, and launching a series of rankings for China's county development.
The evaluation and recommendation of the "China Summer Leisure Top 100 Counties and Cities" list covers 2766 county-level administrative units across the country except the districts included in the municipalities directly under the central government and hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, achieving global coverage of the ranking. Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the 103 county administrative units included in Hubei Province did not participate in this year's list ranking. Shiping Temple of Literature
Located at No. 3 Beizheng Street, Shiping County, Shiping Temple was built during the Yuan to Zheng dynasties, rebuilt by Ming Hongwu in the 22nd year, repaired and expanded in the 2nd year of Ming Jiajing and 5th year of the Apocalypse, and repaired during the Qing Shunzhi and Qianlong years.
The Temple of Literature is 33.75 meters wide, with a total depth of 96.33 meters, covering an area of 4257 square meters, sitting north and facing south. At present, there are Lingxing Gate, Panchi, Dacheng Hall, Ming Ancestral Hall, Xiangxian Ancestral Hall, Ancestral Master Hall, Dongxi Temple, Chongsheng Temple, and Zunjing Pavilion.
In October 1983, Shiping Confucian Temple was announced as the second batch of state-level cultural relics protection units, Yuping Academy was announced as the fourth batch of state-level cultural relics protection units in February 2003, Shiping Confucian Temple and Yuping Academy were announced as the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units in December 2003, and Shiping Confucian Temple Complex was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units in May 2013.
Yuan Jiagu Memorial Hall
Yuan Jiagu Memorial Hall is located at No. 22, Nanzheng Street, Shiping, with a construction area of 875.9 square meters, which is a typical Qing Dynasty wooden structure courtyard residential building. The gate of the former residence is carved with beams and paintings, and the "Economic Special Yuan" plaque is written on the red background; the "Taishidi" horizontal plaque with gold characters on a black background is hung on the top of the double door, the upper floor displays Yuan Jiagu's life deeds, writings and calligraphy works, the lower row upstairs exhibits the historical relics of the stone screen, and the two ear rooms are Yuan Jiagu's study before his death, which treasures the four treasures of the study room he once used.
