On December 27, 2019, the announcement of the preliminary examination of the geographical indication certification trademark of "Ganlan Cashmere Goat" was completed, marking the approval of the first geographical indication certification trademark in Xinzhou City by the State Intellectual Property Office, and achieving a breakthrough of "zero" for the geographical indication certification trademark in Xinzhou. On December 7, 2020, the "Baode Oil Jujube" geographical indication certification trademark was approved, on March 7, 2021, the "Hequ Black Bean" geographical indication certification trademark was approved, and Xinzhou City was approved one geographical indication certification trademark every year for three consecutive years.
This year, the Xinzhou Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has actively communicated with the county (city, district) governments, and vigorously promoted the implementation of intellectual property incentive funding funds to improve the enthusiasm of local governments for the declaration of geographical indications. Through a series of measures, as of now, Ganlan County and Ningwu County have submitted three geographical indication certification trademark applications to the State Intellectual Property Office, namely "Ganlan Red Kidney Bean", "Ganlan Cypress Seed Lamb" and "Ningwu Huangmai", and the city's geographical indication protection work has embarked on a stable development path.
