Yang Zongmao, born in 1962, a native of Wuwei, Gansu, a member of the China Democratic Progressive Party, works for the Liangzhou District Cultural Center, and is currently a member of the Chinese National Painters Association, a member of the Gansu Provincial Artists Association, a special painter of the Wuwei Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the deputy secretary-general of the Wuwei Artists Association, the vice chairman of the Liangzhou District Artists Association, and a member of the Liangzhou District CPPCC Committee. Yang Zongmao has been engaged in the study of calligraphy and painting for more than 30 years, and is good at painting western landscapes, especially in the creation of tiger paintings. His paintings are fresh and inky, integrating the life of the landscape into the pen, making it a living landscape, the weather is longitudinal and there is no lack of mood, with a typical national style and Chinese style, reflecting the love of the motherland, love of the hometown of the homeland feelings. This exhibition exhibits more than 100 works created by Yang Zongmao in recent years, which are based on a wide range of materials, diverse forms, ingenious composition and profound meaning, and comprehensively show Yang Zongmao's exploration and research achievements on the road of painting. Yang Zongmao said: "I just want to do one thing well in my life, that is, to paint the western landscape in my heart. Over the past few years, he has taken it as his duty to write about the western landscape and his own feelings as his experience, writing about the landscape of his hometown and the spiritual homeland he wrote. The Qilian Mountains, Yangguan Ancient Road, Camel Caravan, Yak, Qingyue, these magnificent and peculiar western features have become the source of my creation and inexhaustible driving force. ”
