Xiamen University moved west to western Fujian twice, once the whole school moved to Changting, once the two institutes of science and engineering moved to Longyan Silla District; once for 8 years, once for one year; once before liberation, once after liberation; and both westward migrations have many era marks, many hardships, and many endless stories. What do we have in common?
Today, Mr. Li, who attended the centennial celebration of Xiamen University, went to the exhibition hall of the school history and school celebration to photograph and send me the list of academicians who moved west to Changting. Previously, the author followed up on the westward migration of Xiamen in Longyan Silla District for many years. It is concluded that Xiamen University moved west to Changting and Silla, and the common point is that eight or nine academicians were born.
The Exhibition Hall of xiamen University's centennial celebration was informed that during the eight years of Changting University, Xiamen University entered the school, and later became academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Deng Conghao, Xie Xide, Zhang Cunhao, Lin Shang'an, Zeng Rongsheng, and Tian Zhaowu; academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering including Ai Xing and Zhang Qixian; and one was academician Lin Youkun of the National Academy of Engineering.
The Xiamen Dali and Engineering Institutes moved to Dongxiao Town, Silla District, Longyan City for a year, and later became academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Lu Jiaxi, Chen Jingrun, Tian Zhaowu, Zhang Qianer, Lin Peng, and Que Duanlin, six academicians and other teachers and students; Xiao Peigen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences; and Xie Lianhui, who was directly and indirectly related to Xiamen University and one or two academicians who moved west to Longyan to carry out volunteer teaching, directly and indirectly related, and jointly cultivated.
Xiamen University has moved west to Longyan and Longyan in western Fujian twice, with different time and scale, but the common characteristics of the large number of academicians born have eight or nine people.
Academician Tian Zhaowu studied in Changting, taught in Longyan Silla, and served as the president of Xiamen University.
