7. Xikang Province
Between 1908 and 1911, the Qing Dynasty abolished all toasts on the side of the river, set up prefectures, departments, prefectures, and counties instead, and took the opportunity to march into Tibet, changing the Qamdo area, the Lari and Bugong areas, as well as the Bomi area, to set up liuguan, and planning to set up 4 provinces, more than ten provinces, and prefectures as a province, and had already repaired the patrol gate in Batang. Kawabe was put in charge by Vogel, whose author was the Chronicle of the Western Kangjian Province.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1911), the Han army stationed in Tibet was in chaos, and they left the army to go home, and the Dalai Lama thirteen instigated the Tibetans to expel han officials, and for a time occupied the area east of the Lancang River Valley that had been established as Taizhao (Gongbu Jiangda), Jiali (Larry Grain Platform), Shuodu (Shuo Banduo), Kemai (Sangang Quzong), 5 counties of Chaya, and the unintended Bomi District. In 1917, the local government of Tibet launched another large-scale attack, capturing Qamdo in 1918, and then marching into the counties of Saya, Gongjue, Tranquility, Wucheng, Tongpu, Dege, Baiyu, Dunke, and Shiqu, and assigned the above-mentioned areas to the Zang army in the "Armistice Agreement". At the beginning of 1931, the Local Army of Tibet launched another large-scale attack, temporarily occupying the counties of Ganzi and Zhanhua and part of Luhuo County, but was counterattacked by the Chuankang Army, defeated and returned to the Jinsha River, signed a peace treaty, with the Jinsha River as the boundary between the garrisons of the two sides, and the Sichuan side to recover the Dege, Baiyu, Dengke Jiangdong areas and Shiqu, Ganzi, and Zhanhua. However, Ba'an (Batang) Jiangxi and Yanjing counties were occupied by Tibetan troops. After liberation, the Qamdo area nominally belonged to Xikang Province, in fact, the Xikang political text could not be conveyed, it was made by the Tibetan region, I had checked a lot of literature, before 1954, the Qamdo area was always listed under the name of Xikang Province, such as: Qamdo area full name "Xikang Province Qamdo District People's Liberation Committee" "Brochure (1954) and "World Knowledge (1953)" did not list the Qamdo area separately, and the 1955 "Decision of the State Council on Helping Tibet To Carry Out Construction Matters" defined the Tibet region as " Local Government of Tibet, Panchen Khenpo Conference Hall Committee, Qamdo Regional People's Liberation Committee".
The Establishment of the Tibet Military Region in December 1951 includes the Qamdo Garrison District and the Dingqing Garrison District in the Qamdo Region, indicating that the Qamdo Region has been subordinate to the Tibet Region since 1951, so the Qamdo Region is not included in the history of Xikang Province.
