When it comes to "calligraphy", as a Chinese will say: "To know is to write with a brush." "But few people really know what writing is and what calligraphy is.
Writing is to write out the meaning, thoughts, and feelings to be expressed, and to make people understand after reading it. Calligraphy is to add inner emotions and use a variety of different fonts to beautifully present the text to the public. In the history of Chinese calligraphy, whether it is the fragmentation of the works, the scattered gold and rubble, or the coughing beads and pieces of words and words of the book, they are undoubtedly very precious, and they are scattered and dazzling pearls.
The artist we want to talk about today is from a family of calligraphy, and has been practicing calligraphy under the guidance of his grandfather since he was five years old, first copying Ouyang Qingfa Ti, and then learning wang Xizhi and other famous artists, painstakingly studying in penmanship techniques, integrating and penetrating, combining high ancient laws with modern aesthetics, opening up a unique aesthetic road, and forming an artistic style with a condensed posture, eternal and handsome, smooth and elegant.

This time, we invited Teacher Tian Boping to create two works for us, "Qinyuan Spring Snow" and "Qinyuan Spring Changsha".
1 Qinyuan Spring Snow

The scenery of the northern country, thousands of miles of ice, thousands of miles of snow. Looking at the inside and outside of the Great Wall, only the rest is reckless; the great river is up and down, and it is suddenly lost. Mountain dancing silver snake, the original chi wax elephant, wants to be higher than the Tiangong test. On a sunny day, look at the red dress, especially charming.
There are so many delicate rivers and mountains, causing countless heroes to bend their waists. Emperor Han Wu of Qin lost his literary style slightly; Emperor Songzu of Tang was slightly inferior. A generation of heavenly pride, Genghis Khan, only knows how to bend the bow to shoot large eagles. Count the popular characters, and look at the present dynasty.
"Qinyuan Spring Snow" is a poem written by the proletarian revolutionary Mao Zedong. The film depicts the magnificent snow scenery of the northern country, spanning thousands of miles, showing the majestic, broad and heroic artistic conception, and expressing the lyricist's love for the magnificent rivers and mountains of the motherland. The next film discusses lyricism, focuses on commenting on historical figures, praises contemporary heroes, and expresses the heroic ambition of the proletariat to be the true master of the world. The whole word melts the scene, discussion and lyricism in one furnace, the artistic conception is magnificent, the momentum is magnificent, the emotion is unrestrained, the mind is heroic, and it can represent the bold style of Mao Zedong's poetry.
There are now two theories about the word:
1) In February 1936, Mao Zedong led the Red Army to fight against Japan, the vanguard army crossed the Yellow River in the east, broke through the defense line of the Yan army, marched along the pipeline mountain, and successfully reached Liu Village, Shilou County, Shanxi Province, and wrote the famous poem "Qinyuan Spring Snow" here.
2) In February 1936, Mao Zedong led the Red Army to resist Japan, came to the northwest plateau, and wrote a magnificent "Qinyuan Spring and Snow" in Yuanjiagou near Gaojie Village in Qingjian County, Shaanxi Province.
Teacher Tian used the stroke of a book to write this Mao Zedong poem. When he wrote "Tian", he used the cursive writing method because he wanted to give up a piece of cloth white next to it, and the shape of the word had a variety of shapes, such as squares, triangles, diamonds, rectangles, etc., and the writing of "Tian" was rectangular, with the purpose of vacating some space, which would be more beautiful visually.
He stressed that it is very important to leave blank space in calligraphy. Chinese calligraphy only has pen and ink when writing, the thickness and thinness of the strokes, the sides and the middle, the thick and light, so when writing, we must pay attention to which places are heavy and where they are light, which occupy an important position in the whole chapter. When writing, the pen has a connection, and some strokes are achieved by the artistic conception, but the strokes are not reached, which is also a way of connecting. In addition, when the payment is made, because this painting is very long, it is necessary to drop the paragraph in two lines, which is more harmonious.
2 Qinyuan Chun Changsha
Independent cold autumn, xiangjiang north, orange island head. Look at the red mountains, the layers of forests are dyed, the rivers are clear, and hundreds of boats are competing for the current. Eagles strike long skies, fish soar shallow bottoms, and all kinds of frost days compete for freedom. Ask the vast earth, who is the Lord of the ups and downs?
Bring a hundred couples to travel. Reminiscing about the past, the years are thick. Qia classmate is a teenager, the style is flourishing, the book business is angry, and the party is wavy. Pointing out the country and mountains, stirring up the words, dung soil was ten thousand households in the year. Have you ever remembered, to the middle of the current hit the water, the wave to curb the flying boat.
This poem was coined by Mao Zedong in the autumn of 1925, and through the depiction of the autumn scenery of Changsha and the recollection of the revolutionary struggle life in his youth, he raised the question of who was in charge of the ups and downs, expressed the spirit of optimism about the future of the Chinese nation, and the pride and ambition of taking the world as his duty. The whole word is between the pieces, blending into the sense and blending the scenes.
This word is obviously slower in terms of writing speed than when we just wrote "Qinyuan Spring and Snow", the right side of the "independent cold autumn" word is written lightly, the word "standing" is written heavier, and the word "cold" needs to be lighter under the horizontal of the "standing" word, and when we write the line book, we need to master more techniques, such as several ways to write each word. Like the word "lin", Teacher Tian used a rapid double vertical writing method, so that the layers of forest could be more luxuriant.
The cursive writing method used for the word "flow" in "Hundred Boats Fighting for Flow", the water is flowing, and the "long" word is written lightly because it is adjacent to the thick "hundred" character, and the relationship between the lines is close, and the two words must have a light and heavy. Why didn't the three points of water of the "sinking" word come down directly after the completion of the "sinking" word? Because Teacher Tian left a triangle between "sinking" and "floating" when writing, the triangle is the easiest to associate the top of the word above with the word below, and associate the word.
Teacher Tian writes in traditional Chinese throughout, and when writing calligraphy, there is an emphasis, either one is complicated to the end, or one is simplified to the end. "Moon" word writing length is not written flat factors by the white space, when looking at the word, do not just look at the black place, to see his white place, this place we need is the triangle or small square of white, do not need to be long, assuming that the "moon" word is written flat, there will be a long blank, visual effect is not good.
Teacher Tian feels that revisiting the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, the roads they have traveled, and the works they have written can inspire the young people of our generation to work harder.
