The Straits Herald (reporter Xue Yang @ Taiwan Straits master brother) Fu Kunxuan, a non-party "legislator" in Hualien County, was accused of speculating on stocks in 1997 and has been entangled in lawsuits for more than 20 years. The news came out, shocking the island's political arena, in fact, this is not Fu Kunxuan's first time in prison, in 2018 he was also imprisoned for 8 months for stock speculation.
In addition to Fu Kunxuan, many political figures on the island have been imprisoned, including Chen Shui-bian, Annette Lu, Chen Ju, Qiu Yi, Lin Yishi, and so on, all of whom have been in prison; some have completely destroyed their political futures after being released from prison, while others have regarded imprisonment as political capital and have continued to make a lot of noise in the political arena.
< h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > Chen Ju: from prisoner to "inspector general"</h1>
On May 20, Taiwan's regional leader Tsai Ing-wen will begin her second term, and her "big secret", Secretary General of the Tsai Office, Chen Ju, is expected to take over as the "Chief Inspector-General" of the "Inspector General" of the Tsai Office.

Many people do not know that in the 1970s and 1980s, Chen Ju spent more than six years in prison for the "Formosa Boulevard Incident" and was not freed until 1986. After her release from prison, she participated in the founding of the Democratic Progressive Party and was a member of the group of ten people who founded the party.
After 2000, Chen Ju first served as the chairman of the "Labor Committee", and then relied on the "walking worker incident" to defeat the KMT candidate Huang Junying and was successfully elected mayor of Kaohsiung, and Kaohsiung also entered the 12-year "Chen Ju era". Because of Chen Ju's solid foundation in Kaohsiung and the high satisfaction of the citizens, she was awarded the nickname "Nan Batian".
After 2018, Chen Ju left Kaohsiung to first serve as the secretary general of the Tsai Office, and later or to take over the "inspector general", becoming the most powerful woman on the island after Tsai Ing-wen.
< h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > Annette Lu: "Comrade-in-arms" with Chen Ju</h1>
It is worth mentioning that annette Lu was also imprisoned with Chen Ju, and they were even "close comrades-in-arms" in the same room. It is said that Chen Ju once learned from Annette Lu to make sweaters and embroider flowers.
Although the two are leaders of the non-party movement, their resumes are very different, Chen Ju is not highly educated, and she devoted herself to politics after graduating from high school, and Annette Lu is a "student bully" who is like a fake bag, first graduating from National Taiwan University, and then going to the University of Illinois and Harvard University in the United States for further study.
According to Taiwan media reports, during her imprisonment, Annette Lu often brainwashed Chen Ju and "talked about ideals and ambitions" with her profound "theoretical foundation." After Chen Ju was released from prison, she admitted that Annette Lu had a great influence on her.
In November 1990, Annette Lu joined the Democratic Progressive Party, and since then she has appeared on the island's political stage as a fanatical "Taiwan independence" and was later elected as the governor of Taoyuan County.
In 2000, Annette Lu successfully won that year's "general election" as Chen Shui-bian's deputy. From a prisoner to a deputy leader of the Taiwan authorities, Annette Lu achieved a huge counterattack in her life.
However, Annette Lu's eight-year career as vice leader was not very happy, and the Taiwan media even used the term "deep palace resentment woman" to describe her. After leaving office, Annette Lu drifted away from the DPP and announced her resignation in 2018.
< h1 class = "pgc-h-arrow-right" > Chen Shui-bian: twice imprisoned after more than 20 years</h1>
If Taiwan's highest-ranking prisoners are evaluated, it is none other than Chen Shui-bian, the former leader of the Taiwan region. Chen Shui-bian was officially sentenced to prison in December 2010 for his involvement in a number of corruption cases, including the "Official Jet Fees Case", the "Gao Jie Case", the "ETC Case", and the Money Laundering Case.
At the beginning of 2015, after Chen Shui-bian was released on medical parole, he repeatedly violated the prison regulations, walked everywhere in Taiwan, and even helped people stand on the platform and make additional elections, and he himself once became a candidate for a non-divisional "legislator" of the "One Country Action Party on one side". Chen Shui-bian's outrageous behavior has also become a major example of Taiwan's judicial chaos.
Taking stock of Chen Shui-bian's experience, he was actually imprisoned in 1986. On that occasion, Chen Shui-bian was accused of defamation by Feng Huxiang, then a Kuomintang "legislator," for the "Penglai Island Magazine Incident," and the court finally sentenced him to 8 months in prison.
Because of this incident, Chen Shui-bian and his family played the "sorrow card" in a big way, and his wife Wu Shuzhen and Chen Shui-bian himself were successively elected as "legislators." In 1994, Chen Shui-bian took his career to the next level and was successfully elected mayor of Taipei; six years later, he reached the peak of his political career and became the leader of the Taiwan region.
Talking about Chen Shui-bian, who seized political capital by going to jail, who then became corrupt after he grasped the supreme power, and finally ended up in prison, we cannot fail to mention his two prison careers.
<h1 class = "pgc-h-arrow-right" > Qiu Yi: Shaved a large bald head before going to prison</h1>
Qiu Yi, the "Breaking News Heavenly King", was the person Chen Shui-bian hated the most. In the era of Chen Shui-bian, led by Qiu Yi, wave after wave of exposing fraud was set off, and finally Bian was sent to prison.
Qiu Yi himself was sentenced to prison at the end of April 2007 for leading the crowd to the court after the 2004 "general election".
Qiu Yi, who has always worn a wig, shaved his head before going to prison, and his bag with him was a large number of books, bringing a total of 25 books, including the Diamond Sutra, the Bible, the Desert Ganquan, the Five Religious Classics, and the New Solution to Justice. It is said that Wang Jinping, then a "legislator," encouraged Qiu Yi to recite more scriptures when he went to prison, so as to understand the road of life, and "to retreat was to move forward."
After spending 208 days in prison, Qiu Yi made many friends, and teachers, doctors, and even the administrators of the correctional department became his good friends. Through recruiting new friends, Qiu Yi learned many stories from prison, which he recorded and wrote 120,000 words.
After his release from prison, Qiu Yi was elected as a member of the Kuomintang as a member of the Kuomintang as a member of the Kuomintang in the "legislator" election on January 12, 2008.
In 2012, Qiu Yi lost his bid for the "legislator" of kaohsiung city's seventh constituency, and then gradually faded out of the island's political arena. In recent years, Qiu Yi has focused his career on the mainland, and there have been many invitations from all over the mainland, and he himself has also run self-media and lived a very comfortable life.
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > Lin Yishi: The Fall of the Blue Camp's "Rising Star"</h1>
And lin Yishi, the former "star of tomorrow" of the Kuomintang, was imprisoned for being involved in corruption, and his political future was ruined, which made many predecessors of the Blue Camp regret endlessly.
Lin Yishi first ran for election in 1999, was elected to the "legislature" of Kaohsiung City at the age of 31, and was re-elected for four consecutive terms, although he lost the election for Kaohsiung County Governor on behalf of the Kuomintang in 2005, he still took over the position of head of the Kuomintang Youth League and vice chairman of the Kuomintang, and after Ma Ying-jeou took over as the chairman of the Kuomintang, he was promoted to the executive director of the Central Policy Council, becoming the youngest party whip in the history of the party.
In February 2012, Lin Yishi was transferred to the secretary general of the "Executive Yuan", becoming an important bridge between the Malaysian authorities and the "Legislative Yuan", and it was rumored that he would also represent the KMT in the mayor of Kaohsiung, and was regarded as one of the rising stars of the KMT succession echelon.
Unfortunately, in July of that year, Lin Yishi was involved in the bribery of the East Window incident. He was convicted of a 2-year prison sentence for the crime of unknown origin and was sentenced to prison in September 2018.
Last month, Mr. Lin was granted parole on the grounds of caring for his mother, who was in her 70s, and when he returned home, he wore a hat and mask for fear that others would see his face.
Think of that year, Lin Yishi's teenager Dezhi was full of red light, but now he has fallen into this fate, and the contrast between before and after is lamentable.
