Puxian Emei Dragon
Among them, "Puxian" is a species name, which belongs to the genus Emei Dragon

The Puxian Emei dragon found in this study is a dinosaur individual with a preservation integrity of about 40% excavated in the Shaxi Temple Formation in Yunyang in 2017, and the fossil specimens found include vertebrae, forelimbs, and hind limbs preserved in some joints, as well as individually preserved collarbones, ribs and other materials.
After scientific restoration, Puxian Emeiosaurus was an adult large plant-eating dinosaur with a body length of about 16 meters and a head height of up to 8 meters from the ground when standing.
Puxian Emei dragon belongs to the first new species named by the dinosaur fauna of the Chongqing Yunyang Shaxi Temple Formation, which opened the prelude to the research of dinosaurs in the Shaxi Temple Group of Chongqing Yunyang, at the same time, the Emei Dragon genus is one of the main representative dinosaurs belonging to the Jurassic in China, and the discovery of the new species of Emei Dragon in Yunyang represents the expansion of the distribution range of the genus Emei Dragon, enriching the Emei Dragon genus taxa, which is of great significance for the study of the individual evolution and migration of the Emei Dragon genus.
