On the eve of the Spring Festival, the photographer photographed a rare bird in China, the black lyre chicken, in the Mandu Baolige Grassland of the East Wuzhu Muqin Banner of the Xilingol League in Inner Mongolia.

Black grouse, belonging to the national second-class protected rare birds, is also a medium-sized chicken, weighing 1000-1600 grams, body length 45-61 cm. Medium in size and sized like a chicken. The male has black body feathers. The female has yellow-brown plumage and dark brown spots.
Black lyre chickens often move in groups, each group consisting of several, dozens, or even hundreds, which varies with the season, the amount of food and the surrounding environment. Black lyre chickens mainly eat plant foods and also eat insects.
The black lyre chicken can roost in the Mandu Bolig grassland, mainly attracted by the unique resource advantages of the Mandu Baolige grassland.
With a total area of 8,543 square kilometers, the East Wuzhu Muqin Banner Mandu Baolige Grassland is the best-preserved pristine ecological grassland in China and the most beautiful summer pasture in Inner Mongolia, where the shadow of traditional nomadic culture is still preserved. Here the water and grass are abundant, the scenery is pleasant, the ecology is intact, the folklore is simple, here is the charming paradise grassland, here is the nomadic cultural holy land, here has the iconic grassland river of Inner Mongolia, where there are a wide variety of wild animals, including yellow sheep, marmots, deer, roe deer, wolves, foxes, cranes, larks, etc., but also the habitat of swans and geese. Every summer, the mountains and flowers here are full of flowers, and the cattle and sheep are scattered like pearls, painting and weaving a beautiful picture of natural beauty.
