Live Bar July 15, according to a number of famous reporters previously reported, Suns assistant coach Willie Green will become the pelicans' new coach.

According to Barry Bondz, sources revealed that Willie Green has in principle reached a three-year managerial contract with the Pelicans.

Willie Green, a former NBA player who was drafted by the 76ers with the 41st overall pick in the second round in 2003, has played for the 76ers, Hornets (now Pelicans), Hawks, Clippers and Magic in his NBA career, averaging 8.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

Willie Green announced his retirement in 2016 and joined the Warriors as an assistant coach. In the 2016-17 season, Willie Green won the NBA championship with the Warriors as an assistant coach. In 2019, Willie Green joined the Suns as a teaching assistant.
