Huang Zhang (1901-1945), also known as Wenbo, was a native of Xishan Township, Guixian County. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1927. In the spring of 1928, he was appointed as a member of the Guixian County Cpc Committee and the secretary of the Binyang County CPC Committee.

In 1930, he was transferred back to Guixian to work, and because he organized the masses to hold activities to commemorate the third anniversary of the Nanchang Uprising, he was arrested soon after being acquitted, and left Guixian to luwei after being acquitted. In 1934, he was assigned by Chen An, a member of the Yujiang Special Committee of the Communist Party of China, to return to Guixian County and be responsible for the reconstruction of the underground party organizations in Guixian, Yulin, and Wuzhou.

In November 1936, he was appointed as a member of the Guangxi Provincial Working Committee.

In July 1939, he was appointed secretary of the Wuzhou Special Branch.

In October 1940, he was appointed secretary of the Yulin Special Branch.

In December 1940, he was appointed Head of Organization of the Provincial Working Committee. During this period, he personally went to Beiliu to restore and develop party organizations, rebuild the county party committee, hold many important meetings in Beiliu, preside over several training courses for backbone party members in Xinxuyuan, and more than 50 party members and cadres were transferred, thus cultivating a number of anti-Japanese backbones for publicizing the anti-Japanese policy and launching the anti-Japanese salvation movement.

After the "July 9 Incident" in Guilin in 1942, he served as deputy secretary of the provincial working committee and director of the organization

In 1945, he was appointed director of the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Zone in southeast Guizhou and secretary of the special branch of southeast Guizhou. In March of the same year, in the organization and leadership of the anti-Japanese armed uprising in southeast Guidong, he was arrested and martyred for losing the battle, at the age of 44.
