Chinese and Japanese guzheng artists play "ZhengZheng Dream Strings"

Chinese Herald News (Reporter Du Hailing) The first album of kotokoto group "KOTOKOTO FANTASIA Koto dream strings" by Guzheng artist Wu Fang in Japan and Kotokoto artist Kunoki Shie was released on March 20.

It is understood that this is an album of Chinese 21-string guzheng and Japanese 25-string zither. The Chinese zither and the Japanese kite, which have the same origin, under the hands of the two Chinese and Japanese artists, play different expressiveness and show different guzheng tones. The sound of strings that have never been seen before, each sound is sprinkled into the endless starry sky.

The album contains famous songs from China and Japan, including "Hometown", "Midu Mountain Song", as well as the original songs "Dream" and "Double Crane Fu" and a total of eight songs.

Among them, "Dream" was the original song when the "String Dance Colorful Dream" concert was held at the Kyoto Theater in 2016. "Midu Mountain Song" is an arrangement based on the theme of Chinese Yunnan folk song flower lanterns. With a brisk melody, it expresses the mood of young men and women who love each other.

Since the age of 9, Wu Fang has studied under Wang Changyuan, a first-class Chinese guzheng player. Subsequently, he entered the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which is known as the leader of Chinese music schools, for further study, and his studies were led by guzheng, and covered piano, music theory and other aspects. In July 1990, he graduated as the head of the school and came to Japan. In October 1991, he held his first solo concert in Kyoto. He then performs or gives recitals on local television stations. This active tour continued until 1993. In 1993, she stood out in the first international chamber music competition. In 1995, he took the initiative to participate in the post-disaster charity performance, which is well known. In 1996, after graduating from Ritsumeikan University, he released his debut album "Koto Heart" by Toshiba EMI in September, and it first appeared. In January 1998, the second album "Shanghai Dream", which was jointly produced by violinist Toshihiro Nishi and musician Hideki Higashi, was released. In the same year, he performed in the NHK "top runner" column, with a beautiful sound and full of personality.

Shie Kunogi studied koto at the age of 5 and graduated from the Banggaku Department of the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2002, he won the first prize in the Miyagi Kai koto competition. Since 2003, he has been giving solo concerts. In 2005, he was admitted to the NHK Bangle Audition. In 2009, he participated in the JAL Tang Zhao Ti Temple Music Stage 25 String Kite Group "Wanhua Xiang" performance. Activities are currently being carried out mainly in Tokyo.

The duo will also hold a commemorative release concert. It was held in Ebisu on April 20 and Kobe on May 12.
