Professor Chen Pingyuan of Peking University

With the theme of "Inheritance and Innovation of Chaozhou Culture", this forum discussed Chaozhou culture and Traditional Chinese culture, Research on Chaozhou Intangible Cultural Heritage, High-quality Development of Chaozhou Cultural Industry, Profound Connotation of Chaozhou Red Culture and Era Value, etc., and received more than 130 academic papers.

In the academic lecture session, experts and scholars shared the research views and achievements of Chaozhou culture from many aspects. Chen Pingyuan, Chair Professor of Liberal Arts at Peking University and Jiang Scholar Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, pointed out in his keynote speech on "Ancient City as a Way of Life" that with the improvement of the economic strength and cultural literacy of the Chinese people, the focus of their out-of-town viewing will gradually shift from tourist attractions to architectural relics, to the daily life of the people and their own experience. Chen Pingyuan believes that Chaozhou is such a "living ancient city", like a long scroll of mountains and rivers, which must be calmed down, slowly opened, and carefully appreciated.

It is reported that the "Chaozhou Cultural Forum" will carry out a two-day academic discussion in the form of keynote speeches, group discussions and on-site visits. The forum is held every two years with a view to interpreting the theme of "Promoting Teochew Cultural Inheritance and Innovation" and forming a fixed and influential Teochew cultural academic brand.

Dr. Xie Haishan was the convener and moderator of the first group of experts and scholars on the second day of the discussion session. Professor Chen Pingyuan of Peking University, Jiang Shuzhuo, former secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, and many other big-name scholars are concentrated in this group. In the exchange of racing against the clock, Dr. Xie Haishan carefully absorbed everyone's views, and finally summarized three points in the closing ceremony report: First, from the proportion of the composition of the papers in this group, we can see the focus of everyone's attention and research. Two-thirds of the 32 experts and scholars focused on the direction of the Red Revolution, but had different role perspectives: one was the "digger" (Tao Yongqing: the Chao'an Revolutionary Base Area was a safe corridor of the secret traffic line in the Central Soviet District), and did not miss valuable Red Revolutionary resources; Xie Jinshu: Outstanding Contributions and Era Values of chaozhou Red Culture Stars, 11 revolutionary and cultural figures); Second, "Practice and Explorer" (Chen Jiachun of Baoshan Middle School in Chao'an District: Problems in the Integration of Chaozhou Red Historical and Cultural Resources into the High School History Classroom. Reasons and countermeasures), (Liu Wenju of Hansan Normal University: People's Artist Chen Bo'er and his hometown of Chaozhou Anbu Town, The Course of the Red Revolutionary Route), etc.; everyone is also looking for a way to innovate, but in terms of inheritance, everyone already has a lot of practices that are worth affirming. In the resource protection and "revitalization" part of the intangible cultural heritage part, the consensus of everyone is to keep the original and clean the source, and then combine the media characteristics of the new era to "revitalize". Second, the characteristics and ideas of the participating groups in this group. Teachers, other cultural workers, subject students. Teachers train and take students to time after research; other cultural workers use research to disseminate and popularize science. The university students and graduate students who attended the seminar stage of the forum combined with their own majors to listen to knowledge points and information and then conducted research. We are very welcome to such students, and we hope that more discipline students will pay attention to Chaoshan culture and Chaozhou culture. The third point is to inspire, we need more and more people to participate in the practical exploration and persistence of the tide culture; we need to inherit the essence, guide the participation of the education industry and the communication industry, and explore the multi-dimensional combination of innovation. Finally, we must do a good job in Chaoshan culture and Chaozhou culture, we must adhere to the broad road of speech, focus on the force, and form a normal model of exploration" of "big exchanges, small discussions".
