There are many ancient towns in Jiangnan, and each has its own charm. For example, Shuanglin, once together with Nanxun, Linghu and Daixi, was called the four famous towns of Huzhou, with beautiful scenery and zhengu ruzi. But Shuanglin did not have the grandeur of Nanxun, could not take out four elephants, eight cattle and seventy-two small golden dogs, nor did it have the vicissitudes of Ling Lake, which was already the capital of Dayi a thousand years ago, and there were no mountains and waters in Daixi, and the mountains were empty. Shuanglin is more like a small family jasper, a plain-clothed woman, cicadas with the clouds, like moonlight, graceful in the depths of the water town.
Shuanglin is a typical land of fish and rice, which is the haoqi of Jiangnan. She has all the rivers, lakes, ponds, rice, rice, mulberry, and fields in Jiangnan, and she can take it out of her hand as well. If others can't get their hands on it, she is even more outstanding. Only the three bridges on the Tang River like the arch of the stars and the moon, the Wanyuan Bridge, the Huacheng Bridge, and the Wankui Bridge, are enough for her to stand proudly in the hinterland of Jiangnan, as the Bridge Zhiyang Lian said: "Shuangshui Qianqiu is an important town, and the three bridges are connected to the sky in one breath."
The formation of Jiangnan market towns is quite limited by geographical conditions, because it is a water network area, and there are fewer lumpy land formations, especially in the area east of Huzhou, where the plains are easy to field and the terrain is flat, and the double forest is like this. There are many double forest ponds, dotted with dots, and there are more than twenty Yang ponds uploaded in the old town chronicle: weaving swirling yang, Lu Fu Yang, scenery Yang, shuang gong yang, Wu Jia Yang, Fang Shan Yang, Shi Shi Yang and so on. There are also countless ponds, dang, bays, beaches, and NijiaTan, five miles southwest of the town, has long been famous for its rich lotus flowers.
Of course, Shuanglin also had a mountain, called Shenglin Mountain, five miles southwest of the town, but this mountain has no stones, just lush grass and trees. Shuanglin is not as flat as a mirror, there are also a number of large and small mounds, called floating Xia Pier, because the sunset floating in the sky, the connection between heaven and earth, is comparable to the Floating Xia Pier of the Moon River in Huzhou.
Due to the obstruction of rivers and ponds, the water village is dotted with stars and shapes, and the development of the market town is more or less slow. There are generally two ways to gather sand into a tower, gather armpits into a coat, and expand into a market town. First, with the support of the government, such as Linghu, it entered the eyes of Cui Taishou and quickly became an important town in the southeast. The other is commercial promotion, Nanxun is it, Shuanglin is even more so.
Shuanglin was called Dongshanglin in ancient times, also known as Shangxi. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, it was not large-scale, and it was rare to pass it on. Zheng Yuanyou, a master of Ming Confucianism, said: "Shangxi is in a remote place southeast of Wuxing. "It is conceivable that when the elder brother went to Shuanglin, he must have suffered the pain of the boat and car to find this place. In the past, going to Shuanglin was all waterways, and the Shanghai class, Jiaxing class, Hangzhou class, and Linghu class that opened out of Huzhou would stop in Shuanglin. Every time the Shanghai class arrives in Shuanglin, it is four o'clock in the morning, and the Shuanglin people can't snooze when they want to catch this boat. Although the flight is machine power, after all, the mountains are long and the water is far away, and it is also difficult to cross the customs. I have never been to Shuanglin by boat, but I almost mistakenly walked shuanglin.
That year, I went to Sixi Yuyu's house with Ke Ping, JieMing and others to play, and at that time, I was still working three shifts in the silk factory, young and fearless, and the late night shift was pulled. I had no choice but to go to work at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, so I had to eat dinner and rush from Sixi to Ling lake alone to take a boat. The black light blindly walked to the edge of Shuanglin Pond, because it was impossible to distinguish between east and west, north and south, it was the road to the east to Shuanglin. Fortunately, when I didn't walk much, I encountered an old man who caught a field chicken coming out of the river pond, although I was frightened and scattered, but when I asked for a passerby, I realized that I had gone in the opposite direction. After that, I learned that this was indeed a straight road to Shuanglin, and the locals had a saying: "Sixi Zhongzhao papaya pier, a straight road to Shuanglin."
Shuanglin was formerly known as Donglin Village, and Ming Yongle changed its name to Shuanglin Town in three years. Chinese society has always attached great importance to agriculture and suppressed business, and Li Wu said: "If the peasants are injured, the country will be poor," but he really only saw the crops in his family's land. In fact, the development of commerce is the lubricant of the economy. Shuanglin was able to form a town, which was named after the income of the merchants. In the previous dynasty, Huacheng Bridge was the location of Shuanglin Night Market, Zhi Zai: "Huacheng Bridge is in Shiyang East, and its land is Dongshuang." There are often passenger boats on the side of the bridge, and more night sailing, which is called a night navigation port. Light poles were set up on the bridge, burning like day, and the merchants of the four directions gathered together, "which shows the prosperity of Shuanglin commerce."
Like the surrounding ancient towns, Shuanglin commerce is also known for its silkworm mulberry. At that time, when I was working in Yongchang, I went to the Shuanglin Silk Factory for a meeting. Shuanglin Silk Factory has a relatively short history, built in 1969, but as a state-owned enterprise, its momentum cannot be underestimated. The factory is in the west of Shuanglin Middle School, along the Shenhefang via the flagpole to enter, Bixi stone bridge, endless. In addition, the quality of the silk produced is superior, and it is somewhat winey and not afraid of the deep taste of the alley. Most of the employees of the Shuanglin Silk Factory are Huzhou people, mainly "second-year students", that is, junior high school and high school students in the early days of the Cultural Revolution, and their strength is quite strong. However, today's Shuanglin Silk Factory is a brand new community, with only a Western-style office building left, hidden among old trees and vines.
Shuanglin silk has more historical relics, of course, the artwork in the silk fabric, Aya silk. Aya silk is to Shuanglin, just as Han is to Qin, calligraphy is to Xizhi, and Ju is to Tao Yuanming.
Aya silk, the most important use is for mounting paintings, called mounting aya, and for the cover of the imperial court songbook, called Ni Aya. Widely used in decoration, including making kites, screens, fans, silk flowers, etc. Of course, large households also use it as wallpaper. When I was a child, I lived in Guanfeng Lane, and the Lu family next door used silk to paste the wall, called mounting silk. It seems that the River of Sensations also has walls framed with silk. Of course, Aya silk is also used as a birthday coat and sea quilt for the elderly, and this kind of silk is called Aya.
Popularize the knowledge of aya silk, in fact, aya and silk are two kinds of fabrics. A classification is called "the mature one is aya, the raw one is silk," that is, the one woven with cooked silk is called aya, and the one woven with raw silk is called silk. There is also a classification called "the flower is aya, and the vegetarian is silk". Old bottom, there are many people weaving silk in the Area of Hangjia Lake, but only Shuanglin dominates. Zhen Zhishang said: "After the Daoguang, the Hangzhou zhuang family also weaves more self-weaving, but it is always less dense than the double forest", and the older generation of shuanglin people are all good at weaving silk.
Shuanglin Aya Silk, the most prosperous in modern times is the Shuanglin Aya Silk Factory. Shuanglin Aya Silk Factory was built in 1958 on the basis of a public-private partnership formed by the Aya Silk Mill Group formed by small weavers in Shuanglin, and the enterprise is also state-owned. At that time, the degree of nationalization of Shuanglin was very high, walking on Shuanglin Street, the old people would point to those old houses and tell you that although some houses were called Hu House and Chen House, they were all the property of the Housing Authority, and most of the older generation of Shuanglin people rented houses from the Housing Authority.
Like other silk industries, Aya silk has flourished with the strong support of state-owned enterprises, but once the market economy plays a role, this industry suitable for small-scale development is immediately revealed. Ma Long was the director of the Shuanglin Silk Factory, and he was entrusted with the heavy responsibility of revitalizing the silk factory, but he did not create people in current affairs, and ren Ma Long was such a courageous and insightful person, and he was also lacking in skill. On the surface, Malone looks like wind and fire, but inside he is actually a bodhisattva. When he was in Shuanglin, I once went to the Aya Silk Factory, and when I looked at his company, it was worse than Yongchang, and I deeply felt that the silk time was not lucky.
It is gratifying to talk about the fact that the Shuanglin Aya Silk Factory is still there, the sound of the loom still reverberates in the workshop, and under the dim light, the figure of the female loom worker is still graceful, but the owner has changed the individual boss surnamed Zheng. The enterprise that once had three or five hundred looms in its glory now only has twenty or thirty left. However, the four big characters inscribed by Mr. Sha Menghai at the gate, "Shuanglin Aya Silk", are still vigorous and full, as if they are telling the past of Shuanglin Aya silk, and that Part of Shaohua is like driving.
Aya Luo silk is not inextricably linked in Shuanglin, and there are several small-scale silk enterprises such as Shuanglin Silk Factory in Shuanglin, tenaciously continuing the lifeblood of history. Shu Hua was a classmate of my elementary school, after he was laid off from the silk factory that year, he ran a silk weaving factory in Shuanglin, although it was not a weaving silk, but for more than ten years, the enterprises he ran were prosperous and developed, and they had a good reputation. His original factory was in Jiande Road, and our elementary school classmates also visited together. Now I bought a new factory building and moved to Victoria Avenue. Not long ago, a large group of factory directors and elders of the Huzhou silk industry were also gathered for dinner, which showed their fist and fist for Huzhou silk.
Shuanglin is not only famous for Aya silk, but also an ancient town with a very cultural heritage, lanes, old streets, ancient houses, stone bridges, if you are not careful, you will step on a classical section. The old mansion in Shuanglin Tiancheng still preserves its original taste. Once known as Shuanglin "Cai Ban Town", the ancestral hall of the Cai family, a prestigious family in Shuanglin, is also under repair. Covering an area of more than 3,000 square meters, the five-deep mansion compound is expected to return to its glory. There are also many celebrity former residences in Shuanglin, which still remain in the smoke of the years.
