On September 25th, the Seminar on the Poetry Drama "Popularizing The Principles of Aesthetics" was held at the National Library of China, sponsored by the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Society. Experts and scholars attending the meeting focused on the poetry drama "Principles of Popularizing Aesthetics" directed and written by Mr. Qiu Weijie, and held heated discussions on the artistic, ideological and influential nature of poetry dramas, the essence, function and task of popularizing aesthetics, the current situation and problems of popularizing aesthetics, the complete architecture of popularizing aesthetics education and dissemination, and the methods and ways of popularizing aesthetics implementation. This is another annual event following the "Seminar on Popularizing the Principles of Aesthetics" held by the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Society in 2020 at the National Library.

Written and directed by Qiu Weijie and produced by Tang Sheng Culture, the poetry drama "Popularizing Aesthetic Principles" premiered in Guangzhou on January 6 this year, and the response was strong as soon as it was staged. The drama ends with seven samurai searching for a way to learn, passing through various obstacles and finally finding the god of beauty. The main purpose of the play is to express: the new understanding of wealth after the extensive economy. In the view of Mr. Qiu Weijie, who does aesthetic research, beauty is the highest wealth of this era and the highest realm of national cultural modernization. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "Literature and art are the clarion call of the times, which can best represent the style of an era and the atmosphere of an era. Qiu Weijie's attempt to put an academic work on the stage and transform academic expression with aesthetic language has aroused heated discussion and attention, which has revealed a new atmosphere and seems to indicate a new trend in the literary and art market.

As the leader of the Popularization of Aesthetics Research Group of the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Society, Qiu Weijie initiated the popularization of aesthetics, and continued to launch a series of academic achievements such as "Beautiful People", "Taste People", "Popularizing Aesthetic Principles", etc., gradually building a theoretical framework for popularizing aesthetic principles, and working diligently in the construction of discipline systems, which is becoming the focus of academic research. At the same time, he pays attention to the integration of industry, education and research, and also creates the poetry drama "Popularization of Aesthetic Principles", which opens up the way for the adaptation of serious academic works, and also opens up a broad space for academic research in the industrial field. It is reported that under the guidance of the principle of popularizing aesthetics, young scholars Liu Haobing and Guo Jiannan will successively launch two works, "Popularization of Aesthetic Communication" and "Popularization of Aesthetic Economics".

The seminar was divided into two parts, and in the morning, the poetry drama was watched in the Guotu Theater, and the audience came in and gathered together. The afternoon seminar was presided over by Shi Hong, professor of the School of Political Science and Law of Capital Normal University and secretary general of the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Association. At the meeting, Qiu Weijie first introduced the situation of the Popularization of Aesthetics Public Welfare Foundation. In order to promote the cause of popularizing aesthetics and support the research, education and dissemination of popularized aesthetics, the Academic Committee of the Popularization of Aesthetics Public Welfare Foundation has formulated the "Interim Regulations on Academic Funding for Popularizing Aesthetics", which covers discipline construction, project research, monographs, papers, research, publicity and promotion, etc., and the amount of funding can reach up to 1 million yuan. Secondly, Qiu Weijie introduced the creation and performance of the poetry drama "Principles of Popularized Aesthetics", and looked forward to the future development plan. He called on everyone to work together to jointly study and popularize aesthetics, advocate the popularization of aesthetics, and create a new situation in the development of popularized aesthetic disciplines.
