Public information shows that Gan Guodong, born in November 1972, is a Hubei public security person, a graduate student of the Party School of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, a master of public administration on the job, and joined the work in August 1992. From 1992 to October 2000, Gan Guodong successively served as an editor, reporter, deputy section chief, deputy director of the office, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, and director of the newspaper office in Jingzhou Daily. In October 2000, Gan Guodong was transferred to the Jingzhou Radio and Television Bureau as an assistant director, and two years later he was promoted to a member of the party committee and deputy director of the bureau.
