On October 26, Sun Jun, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, went to the district one-stop protection and rescue center for minors to investigate the work of protecting minors, listened to reports on relevant work, and spoke highly of the experience and practices of our district in combining actual innovations to grasp the protection of minors. Tao Cheng, secretary of the party leading group and chief procurator of the Dazhou Municipal People's Procuratorate, Wei Xuefeng, executive deputy secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, and Xiang Jianping, secretary of the district party committee, accompanied the investigation.
The dachuan district one-stop protection and rescue center for minors was completed at the end of 2020, and the completion and operation of the center not only reduces the secondary harm caused to minor victims by multiple inquiries and medical examinations that may occur in the process of litigation in juvenile cases, but also helps to consolidate criminal evidence in the early stage of the case and provide strong evidence support for cracking down on crimes against minors.
During the investigation, Sun Jun successively went to the functional areas such as the health room, the care room, the listening room, and the spiritual station to learn more about the management and use of each division, and talked cordially with the procurators stationed in the center, listened to the report on the operation of the center and the handling of the case, and fully affirmed the innovative measures of our district through the establishment of a "procuratorial, police, and medical" coordination mechanism to handle cases involving minors in one stop.
Sun Jun stressed that children and young people are the future of the country and the hope of the nation. To provide them with a good growth environment. For the protection of minors, it is necessary not only to target individuals but also to groups, not only to do a good job of publicity and education, to make good efforts in preventing crimes involving minors, but also to fully reflect the special protection and care for them through the handling of specific cases.
