Phuket shipwreck advocates wenhao: I have not run away, I have been rescuing the aftermath, and the move is the rent due

The Beijing News exclusively photographed Zhang Wenhao, the owner of the accident ship. Beijing News reporter Peng Ziyang photographed

Beijing News Express (reporter Li Tingting Pang Peng Ziyang) On July 5, the shipwreck in Phuket, Thailand, was carried by 127 Chinese tourists, and as of now, a total of 42 people have been killed and 14 people are missing. It is understood that the company of the cruise ship "Phoenix" involved is TC DIVING, and the person in charge of its company is Zhang Wenhao. There are rumors that Zhang Wenhao has run away, and the Beijing News reporter visited the company today and interviewed Zhang Wenhao. For the "run", Zhang Wenhao responded, "I have been rescuing for the past few days, I have no time at all, and this morning I was told by others that you ran away." ”

The move was before the accident because the rent was due

For the "runaway" said, Zhang Wenhao responded: These two days I have been busy, the first day is busy with rescue, contact, the second day of statistics, the second day of rescue most of the Thai government, busy with statistics, contact hospitals, insurance companies and injured individuals to coordinate. The next day, there were also family members who came one after another, and we were receiving the family members, that is, contacting the volunteers, and there were many volunteers helping us.

Why did I move when a shipwreck occurred? Zhang Wenhao responded that the move was because the rent on our side was due, the move occurred before the ship accident, and then because we moved for two days, the first day was almost the same, the next day to close the end of the move, the next day at the end, when the ship was about to finish moving, the ship was in trouble, not because the ship had an accident, it was because our rent was due.

"On the day of the accident, most of the cruise ships went to sea and found the wind and wave warning at 4 p.m."

Why do you have to go to sea knowing that there are winds and waves? In this regard, Zhang Wenhao said, I don't know, my wife only found the wind and wave warning on the Internet at four o'clock in the afternoon that day, but at four o'clock in the afternoon our boat was already in the wind and waves.

According to the local government in Thailand, wind and wave warnings had been issued a few days before the accident, informing the vessel that it was not suitable for going to sea. As for whether to receive this notice, Zhang Wenhao responded, that notice I have to ask my wife, but that day all the boats that could go to sea were all out to sea, whether big or small.

Regarding the questions of "overloading" and "2 tons of cement at the bottom of the ship", Zhang Wenhao said: There is no overload, because the load of our ship is more than 100 people, and there is no overload; I don't know about the cement, because our ship has not yet passed the warranty period, and the maintenance is the responsibility of the ship.

In addition, Zhang Wenhao said that in fact, the legal representative of the TC DIVING company is his Thai wife, and his main job at the company is diving instructor.
