At the meeting, Tan Xiuhong, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, first thanked the Beihai port inspection unit for its support and guidance for the construction and opening up of the city's port, pointed out that the rapid development of the Beihai economy is inseparable from the hard work of the port inspection department, and hopes that the convening of the joint meeting can strengthen communication between the two sides and solve the problems in the process of port development.
At the meeting, they listened to the special work reports of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Port Office), Beihai Customs, Beibu Bay Office, North Seaport Branch and other units, and discussed the opening of the Tieshan Port, the prevention and control of the epidemic at the seaport port, and the planning and promotion of the dangerous chemical terminal in Tieshan Port.
Tan Xiuhong finally stressed at the meeting that the municipal port office and the county and district governments should establish a contact mechanism, do a good job in service, support the work of the inspection units at the Beihai port, think in a different position, and understand the difficulties of the port work; second, the port departments should take the initiative to take action, emancipate their minds, and do a good job in benchmarking the port; after the joint meeting of the port, they should form a mechanism, hold it regularly, solve the problems in the port work, strengthen cooperation with the inspection units at the Beihai port, strengthen communication, and form a joint force for the opening up of the Beihai port and economic development.
