After more than 30 years of galloping in the music world, the influential Yao Jia finally launched her debut album "There is a Beautiful Place" funded by the Kunming Municipal Government in early 2000, so the reporter asked her to interview. Due to her busy work and not good at "hype", she does not seem to be active in interview publicity. After chatting with her, I found out that it was not her dragging, but she was a quiet person. Yao Jia is a soloist of the Kunming National Song and Dance Troupe, and for a long time, she has sung a large number of yunnan national original songs with local characteristics and popular population in Yunnan. As early as the 1980s and 1990s, she was famous in Yunnan, with the reputation of "Cuckoo of the Red River" and "Yunnan Folk Song Queen", but people's familiarity with her began with the songs "Amorous Bau", "Ayi Sister", "There is a Beautiful Place" and so on. Her tone is sweet and tender, unpretentious, very magnetic, high and midrange natural and smooth, like clouds and flowing water. The female soloist of "There is a Beautiful Place" was sung by Yao Jia and became popular, and in 1999 this song ranked among China's top ten golden songs and had nearly one million fans. Since then, "There is a Beautiful Place" has been played on international and domestic flights to and from Yunnan. The song was designated as the city song of Mangshi. In 2005, composer Yang Fei praised that among the many actors who have sung the revision of the single so far, Yao Jia's singing is the one he is most satisfied with.
