01. Why did you choose to enter the sports industry?

From a young age, he played football with his eldest children in the college where his father worked, to become a student athlete (physical education student), and then to come to Beijing from Shandong to experience a short three-year professional training, and after leaving the team, he studied for undergraduate and master's degrees in the School of Physical Education. Sports has been running through my life and is a natural part of my daily life before I actually entered the workplace, and my lover, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law are also sports industry workers. Due to the above sports background, personal love for sports and my desire to make some achievements in the sports industry, it seems natural to enter the sports industry after graduation.

02. You are a super sports enthusiast, what sports have you participated in? What sports have been the focus of in recent years? Why?

Common sports in sports schools have been studied and more or less practiced through courses. He has been deeply involved in projects such as orienteering, sanda, mountain biking, kayaking, football, and trail running.

In recent years, the types of events and projects concerned are also very mixed, in addition to the various events of the Olympic project, the excellent non-Olympic events of the mass participation type such as UTMB, Ironman, Xterra and other events, but also pay attention to and continue to understand some interesting individual events, such as the Japanese high school football championship that will be reported in January every year, various stagecoaches, starting from the United States to organize a variety of forms of Ragnar Relay relay, short distance high ornamental triathlon Super League Triathlon, fitness-related Crossfit game, and Ninjia Warrior, among others. In addition to "watching" and "appreciating" the competition, more will be used from the perspective of practitioners to "observe" and think about the format setting, competition organization, communication, visual ingenuity and success of these events, which will be used to integrate with their current work.

03. You served as the deputy general manager of the Sanfu Tournament and participated in the organization, planning and execution of dozens of events, what types of these events are? What was the most impressive event? Why?

Marathon, Triathlon and trail running are the main types of events. Of the events involved in the organization, the most impressive must be the Columbia Chongli 168 International Supercross.

Chongli 168 due to the large number of groups, large numbers, many starting points, many stations, many communication involving the government and snow villages and towns, many links, long track distance and poor connectivity of various regions (after the end of the Winter Olympics project has been very convenient), scattered sites, complex microclimate and other factors, there are a large number of programs, data deduction work. At the same time, due to the large-scale construction projects in recent years, there have been many temporary adjustments to the whole body, and various plans are also endlessly revised.

Overall, the complexity of this event and the super brain-burning and deduction process are several orders of magnitude more than the workload of other trail running events I have participated in. And the game lasts a long time, and the total time from the first shot to the final closing in 2020 has come to nearly 60 hours, which is very "torturous".

In the long preparation process of this event, I was very impressed with every difficulty that the team overcame together, every time everyone was anxious, and on the other hand, the final effect and praise of the event also made me and the team proud.

04, in the event organization experience, a large proportion of the cross-country running events, in your opinion, what is the unique charm of cross-country running?

Personally, I think that the unique charm of trail running is the diversity of nature and the environment.

For example, from the perspective of landscape, cross-country running events in different places will present different natural landscapes, bringing different visual feelings to the participants; from the difficulty of the event, different events can also bring a lot of varied difficulty experiences to the participants, such as different climbs, different road surfaces, different altitudes and overcoming difficult experiences such as wind, rainstorm, lightning, low temperature, exposure, lack of oxygen, etc., and even at different times in a race can give you different experiences.

Comparatively speaking, the city competition is still slightly inferior in terms of diversity, and the diversity experienced by the players in the city competition is more from the culture of different cities, the organization of the organizing committee, and their own feelings.

05. What characteristics and impacts do you think a successful trail running event should have? Why?

Everyone has a different definition of what a successful event is, and even if you discuss whether the Beijing Olympics are a successful Olympic Games, you will have different voices based on different positions. From a financial point of view, there is no doubt that a profitable event is a successful event. But in a broader sense, I think that the event that can mint more social currency in the event, or the event itself becomes a social currency, and the event that can cause more people to talk about and spread spontaneously is a successful event.

06. You studied under Carlos, co-founder of the ITRA International Trail Running Association, what was your biggest gain in the process of learning and communicating with him?

Carlos is an architectural designer himself, but he has a unique perspective on the methodology of trail running, especially trail track design and track management. For a long time, if I encountered some unclear thinking problems at the track, I would communicate with him through Messenger for help.

Carlos learned a lot, he personally involved in most of the race work is related to the off-road track, from the track point of view to summarize the more important points:

The first is how to work effectively in the process of track design and output reasonable results, including how to reasonably plan the track, how to reasonably arrange the process of track actual survey, how to properly handle data and presentation, etc.;

The second is track control, which includes the layout of the track logo and the on-site management logic of the track, and the current work deployment logic and method of my logo layout and on-site management in the off-road event are optimized on the basis of Carlos's logic and the characteristics of the domestic track and the characteristics of the athletes' needs.

07. Under the epidemic situation, you founded your own event company - link events, focusing on the operation of the event ecology, what is the current strategy of the company's operation? What is the biggest challenge right now?

Do it yourself, there is no support for a large platform in terms of resources and teams, in some aspects it will indeed be subject to some restrictions, so the idea now is that the dynamic distribution of energy in the two aspects of event execution and the cultivation of its own IP, the energy that may be allocated to the event execution in the early stage will be more, and the profits generated by this part of the energy investment will feed back to the gradual start of the own IP, and the self-owned IP can be landed and form a virtuous circle, and the distribution of the proportion will be adjusted in a timely manner. However, it is very regrettable that several cooperation projects were originally held this year, because the policy adjustment caused by the silver incident was stopped or suspended halfway, which affected my plan to a certain extent, but the change itself is also part of entrepreneurship, and it is OK to accept it calmly.

The biggest challenge is actually the financial support of its own IP launch, and I hope that brands that plan to carry out sports marketing through outdoor events will communicate more.

08. Who is the person who has the deepest impact on your career growth? In which ways?

For me, the people who have a deep impact on my personal career growth are not the people who guide me and train me in the professional field, but the people who help me "lay the foundation".

The first is my supervisor Professor Dong during my graduate studies. In the course of his academic research, he has always reminded me to have my own views and ideas, to have a critical spirit, and these migrations to work are also universal;

The second is Mr. He, the boss of the entrepreneurial team that I have been involved in since the second year of research. From the school into the workplace, the rules of the workplace, the management of the team, the management of the project are all taught by him, and at the right time, he has given us a lot of opportunities to make decisions, of course, there are many wrong decisions in this process, but looking back, this stage is also the stage of my fastest growth.

09. What beliefs and experiences do you think it takes to stick to the sports career?

Adhere to any industry, we must believe that the future of this industry is bright, and we must have "rational obsession".

10. You have successively studied "High-efficiency Management of Sports Events" and "WeChat Ecological Special Course" in Orange Light this year, why did you choose these two courses to study, and what are the gains from them?

The original plan was to participate in the high-performance + market development courses, but because of the time reasons, you can only choose high-performance, and you will also make up for the market development courses when you have the right time in the later stage. WeChat ecological special courses actually have no direct support for my current business, but I think that as a trend, there will definitely be a combination in the future, and some knowledge reserves will be done in advance.

The course of high-performance management has helped me sort out the scientific working methods in the process from event planning to the end of the event, re-recognize the "what I know" in the whole chain, supplement "what I don't know", and also gain a lot of "I don't know what I don't know" event management ideas and practical methods.

I can imagine that this lesson is of great help to students who are already doing related layouts, but in view of my previous vacancies in this knowledge, the biggest help for me at this stage is to understand the changes in the entire communication environment and the multi-angle operation and monetization logic based on the WeChat ecology, and guide me to think about the integration point with the future of my own business.

11. What is the biggest expectation for the current company and yourself?

In the current state of instability, first live, and then seek development.

12. What is the most important event to participate in or observe? Why?

14. What are your proudest abilities or skills?

17. If you have the opportunity to ask anyone in this industry a question, who would you most like to ask? What's the problem?
