Mohammed Salah confirmed he wanted to stay at Liverpool and insisted he would stay at Anfield until the "last day" of his career.
The Egypt international's contract expires in the summer of 2023, sparking rumors that he will leave the club.
There has been a lot of debate about his contract over the past month because he hasn't renewed it yet.
Salah's salary claims have reportedly become a stumbling block as he is rumored to demand more than £300,000 a week.
Liverpool will not give players over the age of 30 a big contract, and Salah will be at that age next summer.
Amid rumours of his future, however, the 29-year-old insisted the decision was "out of his control" and he was willing to stay at merseyside club.
He told Sky Sports: "If you ask me, I'd want to stay here until the last day of my football career, but I can't say too much — it's out of my control."
"It's up to the club to what it wants, not me.
"Now I don't think I'm going to play liverpool. That would make me sad. It's hard and I don't want to talk about it, but it would really make me sad. ”
Salah has been in very good form this season. He scored 12 goals in 11 games in all competitions.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes the Egyptian can win the Ballon d'Or after his explosive start.
Asked if Salah would win this year's Ballon d'Or, Klopp replied: "Yes.
"I don't know how you won the Ballon d'Or. It may be difficult if he scores the most goals in the Champions League final, but if it is in the state of the last two years, then he has a chance. Internally he was always recognized, but externally I didn't know.
"After his two goals, it suddenly became clear that he might be (the best in the world). He has had such achievements before and has been at the highest level for many years. He would do it again and again. Whatever you want to write about him, write it, he deserves it, but now we have to prepare for Atletico. ”
