Born in 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand, Rose immigrated to Australia at the age of seven and grew up with a PhD in Melbourne. As a child, I loved to sing, was a cheerleader at the school, and perhaps a member of the church choir, but the real turning point came in the summer of 2012.
That year, YG Entertainment held a trial in Sydney, fifteen-year-old Rose followed his father's advice to rush from Melbourne to participate, this is the audition from the 700 participants only one admission, Rose successfully won the first place in the sea selection of only 0.14% acceptance rate, the same year, officially became YG Entertainment's trainees.
After four years of hard practice, in June 2016, Rose became the final member of Blackpink. Rose has its own instagram account, called "Rose are Rosie", KBS world's "We Kpop" program, after global fan voting, Rose ranked first in Korea's best female idol singer.
