1 Dimitar Berbatov (striker), born on 30 January 1981 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Between 1999 and 2010 he made 78 appearances for Bulgaria, scoring 48 goals. He scored 48 goals with star Heristo Bonev and tied for the top spot in bulgarian national team history. On 12 February 2000, he scored his debut goal for the national team in a 2–3 defeat to Chile in a friendly match. He did not play in the World Cup in his football career, made 3 appearances at Euro 2004, assisted 1 goal, and lost 3 games without qualifying.

Hristo Bonev was born on February 3, 1947 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He made 96 appearances for Bulgaria between 1967 and 1979, scoring 48 goals. He participated in the 1970 and 1974 World Cups, 1 goal in 3 games of the 1970 World Cup, and did not qualify in the group stage; 1 goal in 3 games of the 1974 World Cup, and did not qualify in the group stage. In 1998, as the head coach, he led the team to participate in the World Cup held in France, and the group did not qualify.
