1 Mandatory testing is required 6 times after arrival
Persons entering Hong Kong through the E-Hong Kong Scheme are required to undergo compulsory nucleic acid testing at community testing centres or recognised local medical testing institutions on the 3rd, 5th, 9th, 12th, 16th and 19th days of arrival in Hong Kong (if still in Hong Kong) (testing on Day 19 must be carried out at community testing centres).
However, the total cost of the six tests of HK$1,440 will be borne by the HKSAR Government. However, the so-called "preferential treatment" for mainland residents in this regard has also aroused opposition from Hong Kong pro-democracy figures, who believe that it is an "unreasonable" arrangement for non-Hong Kong residents to bear the cost of testing in disguise by public funds.

2 Places are on a first-come, first-served basis
There are not many places in the "Easy to Hong Kong" scheme, and now there are 1,000 places per day at the Shenzhen Bay Port and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port, and the quota is on a first-come, first-served basis.
3 Hong Kong and Macao Permit is only supported for T/Q/D endorsement
There are five types of endorsements for the Hong Kong and Macau Pass, namely Individual Travel (G), Group Travel (L), Family Visit (T), Business (S), Other (Q) and Stay (D).

4 Quarantine is still required for the return journey
Residents travelling to Hong Kong through E-Hong Kong who return from Hong Kong to Guangdong Province or Macau may still be subject to the quarantine arrangements applicable in both places at that time (e.g. 14-day compulsory quarantine).

According to the press release of the Information Department of the HKSAR Government, non-Hong Kong residents are required to first apply for an appointment for an "Easy To Hong Kong" quota.
The reservation requirement is that you have not been to another area other than Hong Kong, Guangdong Province or Macau on or 14 days before the day of entry into Hong Kong, as well as any area listed in the "E-Hong Kong/E-Hong Kong Scheme Temporarily Excluded Risk Areas".

2. Nucleic acid testing
Non-Hong Kong residents who have successfully reserved a place must enter Hong Kong on the specified date and control point of the reservation.
At the same time, when entering Hong Kong, you must have a valid negative nucleic acid test result obtained on or within three days before the date of entry.
In addition, nucleic acid testing can only be carried out at a medical testing institution recognized by the Governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Macao or Guangdong Province.

3. Arrival procedure
To expedite the customs clearance time, the HKSAR Government recommends that Mainland residents, before arriving at the control point, transmit the valid covid-19 nucleic acid test negative result to the "transcoding" function of the "Yue Kang Code" or "Ao Kang Code" to the Electronic Health Declaration System of the Department of Health, and complete and submit the electronic health declaration form.
