The Gongshan slope plot is located in the enclosed area of Yan'an West Road, Huansha Road, Shixi Road Commercial Pedestrian Street and Xinjian Road.
Broadly speaking, it can be called "shantytown around Shixi Road", and the plot contains small streets and alleys such as Ping'an Lane and Shixi Lane (part).

In the 1980s, Shixi Road was built as a "department store wholesale and retail market". Residents on both sides of the street built cement platforms in front of their homes and rain shelters under the eaves. In 2014, from the relocation of the wholesale market as a whole to Guanshanhu District, Shixi Road quickly fell lonely and did not prosper as before.

In July 2020, the government mailbox replied to the enthusiastic citizens' inquiries: the area around the gongshan slope of Shixi Road in Yunyan District has been included in the scope of the Yunyan District West Area, the Municipal Communications Commission plot and the surrounding shantytown transformation project (Phase I), and is currently handling the preliminary related work.
