According to the Russian newspaper Izvestia reported on November 1, Russian soldiers will begin watching Soviet movies. The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed to the Newspaper Izvestia plans to purchase the corresponding films. At the same time, the Russian media also obtained the list of films specified in the teaching reference of the Central Russian Military Home.

In addition to Soviet-era films, the official list of films also includes films shot in Russia in recent years, such as "The Ninth Company", "We Come from the Future", "Turkish Opening", and "Stormgate". In addition to military films, soldiers will also enjoy humorous, detective, adventure and other themes.

The film will be screened in the Russian army's soldiers' clubs, lounges and mobile clubs of field exercises, with the aim of cultivating patriotism and moral character among military and civilian personnel.

Russian experts explained that Soviet films were heavily selected for their high-quality content. Modern films, they argue, often lack a moral component.

In 2018, the Russian Ministry of Defense received a new generation of mobile multi-functional entertainment information systems that can play HD videos. (Compilation/ He Yingjun)
