Fuzhou, June 24 (China News Network) -- The red-themed modern Fujian opera "Rhododendron Mountain", carefully rearranged by the Fuzhou Minju Opera Art Heritage and Development Center, premiered at the Fuzhou Minju Opera Art Heritage and Development Center Theater on the evening of the 23rd.

"Rhododendron Mountain" tells the story of a peasant self-defense army on the border of Xianggan and Gansu in 1928, under the great influence of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, rising and falling three times, and then winning victory under the leadership of the party, and reorganizing it into the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, and going to Jinggangshan to meet the main force of the Red Army.

The Fujian opera "Cuckoo Mountain" is a transplant of the Peking opera "Cuckoo Mountain". The Peking Opera "Rhododendron Mountain" was officially launched in 1972, and was loved by the national audience with its tortuous and vivid plot, rich singing voice, sonorous and powerful lines and characters with distinct personalities, and was transplanted by many local dramas.

The re-rehearsal of The Fujian opera "Rhododendron Mountain" has been comprehensively processed and upgraded from music, choreography, martial arts scenes, etc., and Specially invited Li Youbin, a national first-class director and graduate tutor of the China Academy of Performing Arts, as the general director, Lin Ying, a national first-class actor, as Ke Xiang, a national first-class actor Xie Qiaoxing, and outstanding young actors Chen Xiaowei, Yang Shuai, and Yu Genshu, which lasted more than 3 months of rehearsal and polishing.
