According to reports, the "Top Ten Young Leading Dancers" exhibition in the six provinces (regions) of central and southern China was founded in 2020 by the dancers associations of guangdong, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi and Hainan provinces (regions) and held once a year in the six provinces (regions). Through the preliminary evaluation, a total of 59 dancers from six provinces and regions competed on the same stage. Most of them are the principal dancers of the six provincial art academies, or the backbone of young artists from various colleges and universities. After four fierce competitions, through the display of works and improvisational performances, the winners such as "Young Dancers of Six Provinces (Regions) in Central and Southern China", "Top Ten Young Leading Dancers" and "Top Ten Outstanding Young Dancers" were finally selected.
Among the 15 dancers in the country who were awarded the title of "The Second Top Ten Young Leading Dancers of the Six Provinces (Regions) of Central and Southern China", 4 dancers in our province were Liu Jiaming, Yang Jialun, Lin Huiying and Li Ruoyao, among whom Liu Jiaming, Yang Jialun and Li Ruoyao, who won the honor for two consecutive years, also won the title of "Young Dancers of the Six Provinces (Regions) of Central and Southern China".
In addition, 7 people in our province, including Chen Lulu, Li Minglu and Song Lele, were awarded the "Top Ten Young Outstanding Dancers", and 5 people, including Zhang Xuan and Xie Liang, were awarded the "Shortlisted Young Excellent Dancers". Wuhan Song and Dance Theater's work "Dawn" won the Gold Award for Choreographer, Hubei Opera and Dance Theater's "Chu Ling", "The South of the Clouds", China Telecom Wuhan Art Troupe's "Li Shizhen" and other 7 works won the Silver Award for Choreographer, and Wuhan Conservatory of Music's "Crane in the Clouds" and other 4 works won the Bronze Award for Choreographer.
According to the Provincial Dance Association, following the success of the first exhibition last year, this year's dancers in our province have won impressive results, the number of shortlisted performances and awards is considerable, the original dance works are rich in themes, closely following the pulse of the times, many works are eye-catching, showing the strong strength of Hubei dance art.
