A German "jihad bride" was sentenced to 10 years in prison by a Munich court for aiding and abetting abuse. It is understood that the woman went to Iraq as early as 2014 and joined the Middle East extremist group "Islamic State" (IS), abusing and enslaving a mother and daughter captured by IS with her husband, which eventually led to the death of a 5-year-old girl.

According to the New York Times reported on the 26th, the case was heard in the Munich District High Court on the 25th local time. Under German privacy laws, the court did not disclose the woman's name, referring only to her as "Jennifer M. W", the woman married a local IS militant while in Iraq, and her husband "bought" a Yazidi mother and daughter in 2015. The mother and daughter who lost their personal freedom were forced to work for Jennifer Lee. Mr. and Mrs. W worked for several months, the living conditions were very difficult, and they were often beaten and scolded by the "male host". According to the mother's confession, the 5-year-old daughter was slammed in the head, pushed down and broke her shoulder. W never intervened in these atrocities.

In August 2015, the young girl who made the "man" jump by wetting the bed, tied her up with a belt, threw her into the backyard, did not give her water to drink, and left her to fend for herself. Jennifer M W did nothing about it, and innocent girls were burned to death by thirst under the scorching sun. The helpless mother wept bitterly at the sight of her daughter's tragic loss, while Jennifer W warned her at the time to "kill you if you cry again". Later, the girl's mother was rescued and became a key witness to the case.

After the court's judgment, Jennifer M. W was convicted of joining an extremist group, aiding in murder, and crimes against humanity and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Nearly 10,000 Yazidi minorities in Iraq were reportedly massacred or kidnapped during the IS rebellion, and many of them women were captured and enslaved.

Jennifer M W's arrest was dramatic, and in 2018 she tried to take a free ride on her way back to Germany from Iraq, where the driver said she could take her to Turkey, and she shared her experience in Iraq with the driver before being arrested — the driver was an informant installed by German intelligence agencies.
