The Suns lost to supersonics away in Game 6 of the following series, and advanced to the Finals at home in a tie-seven. The Suns' Finals opponent was Michael Jordan's Bulls, who ultimately missed the championship 2-4, with the Suns losing 98-99 at home in game 6 of the series.
