A few days ago, the TV series "Hongqi Canal", which is being broadcast on CCTV, fully reproduced the arduous years when the people of Linxian County, Henan Province, built "Hongqi Canal" in the 1960s, and was known as the "Eight Wonders of the World".

The Hongqi Canal was built in the 1960s by the people of Linxian County to divert water from the Taihang Mountainside under extremely difficult conditions in order to solve the problem of water use for residents.
In the 1960s, under the conditions of extremely harsh natural environment and extreme material scarcity, the people of Linzhou (formerly Linxian County), Henan Province, relying on the heroic spirit of "rearranging mountains and rivers" and the spirit of fearless sacrifice, dug holes in the cliffs and cliffs of the Taihang Mountains, built bridges in ditches, and fought hard for ten spring and autumn to build the "Canal of Life" Hongqi Canal, with a canal line of more than 1,500 kilometers, which was known as the "Artificial Heavenly River."
In the 1970s, party and state leaders proudly told international friends: "There are two miracles in New China, one is the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, and the other is the Hongqi Canal in Linxian County." ”
Hongqiqu has become an integral part of the national spirit, and today's Hongqiqu people still carry forward the spirit of "self-reliance and hard work", establish the Hongqiqu Film and Television Network, continue to publicize the Hongqiqu culture, and hope to carry forward this culture; "unity and cooperation, selfless dedication" is still widely spread in the hearts of contemporary Hongqiqu people, and has inspired generation after generation.
Today I dedicate the wonderful moments when I visited, studied, inspected and visited "Red Flag Canal" in April 2019! (Zhang Fuqing)
