Nanguo Temple, located in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, 2 km south of the mountain pass, covers an area of 5.7 hectares. Here the trees are verdant, the ancient cypress towering, the scenery is beautiful, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant, one of the eight scenic spots of Tianshui, known as "Nanshan Ancient Cypress". The temple has a history of more than 1,000 years and has been a place of visit for poets and ink guests of the past. Du Fu, a great Poet of the Tang Dynasty of China, wrote more than a hundred hymns when he was in Qinzhou (today's Water) in 759 AD.
