Shaanxi Province is the largest kiwifruit growing province in China, mainly distributed in Xi'an City, Zhouzhi County, Hu County, Baoji City Mei County, Xianyang Wugong County, of which Xi'an Zhouzhi County is the largest planting area and output area in the country, accounting for about one-third of the national planting area.

Features: Kiwi is a large deciduous woody vine that separates female and male trees. Female and male trees are fully pollinated to bear fruit, and 1 male tree is planted for 8 female trees. Male trees have small hairy leaves and flowers appear earlier; female trees are hairless or hairless, and the flowers and leaves are larger than those of male trees. The flowering period is from May to June, and the fruit ripening period is from August to October. Its buds grow on their backs, with lush foliage above and sparse foliage below, and other plant vines climb clockwise while its vines climb counterclockwise.

Soil environment: Kiwifruit requires deep soil layer, loose soil, acidic soil, good drainage of water, and deep ploughing of soil. Forest soils, shady slope mountains grow best.

Humidity environment: Kiwifruit has very high requirements for air humidity, prefers cool and humid climate, with annual rainfall of more than 800 mm and relative humidity of more than 70%.

Temperature environment: Most species of kiwifruit require subtropical or warm temperate humid and semi-humid climates. The average annual temperature is 11.3-16.9 degrees, and extreme high and low temperatures have an effect on growth. Later, after artificial cultivation and domestication, it can now grow at an average annual temperature of 10 degrees, definitely a low temperature of minus 28 degrees Celsius, and grow as a result in areas with an annual rainfall of more than 500 mm. However, the cold of early spring, the low temperature of late frost, and the high temperature of mid-summer often affect the growth and development of kiwifruit.

Lighting environment: Most kiwi species prefer a semi-shaded environment. Light requirements vary at different stages of development. Adult fruit trees require adequate light. Kiwifruit is a medium light-loving fruit tree, likes diffuse light, avoids strong direct light, and the light intensity is 40 to 45%.

Value: Kiwi fruit is a fruit rich in nutritional value, rich in vitamin C, potassium, calcium and carotene, etc., with anti-aging, clean stomach, prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and other functions. Because kiwi fruit has multiple effects and functions, it is known as the "king of fruits".
