The police first conducted a detailed inspection of the unknown "water bird", briefly bandaged it, and brought it back to the police station. At the same time, the Veterinary Office of Daqingshan Wildlife Park was immediately contacted and sent to the University of Qingshan Wildlife Park for timely treatment.

After being informed by professionals, the injured "water bird" is a national second-level protected animal - the pond heron, after rescue, the bird is currently in good condition, the staff said that after its recovery of flight ability, release nature.

Typical wading birds , about 47 cm long , herons with white wings and brown longitudinal stripes. Breeding plumage: dark maroon on the head and neck, purple sauce on the chest. During the breeding period, the nest is in the tree or bamboo forest, the nest is shallow disc-shaped, composed of branches, dead branches of fir, bamboo branches, tea branches and sarsaparilla vines, etc., and there is no other bedding in the nest. Eggs are laid in early and mid-May, with 3-6 eggs laid per clutch. It is found from Bangladesh to China and Southeast Asia. Wintering solstices in the Malay Peninsula, Indochina and the Sunda Islands.
