In 2020, Cat Alliance continues to recruit people.
Take a quick look:
Cat Alliance has two genes, one is a nature lover, and the other is scientific protection.
The origin of the establishment of the cat alliance can be traced back to the establishment of the Sanbei Cat Folk Research Institute in 2006, because of the mission of interest in and protection of felines, it has a full-time staff in 2013, and in 2017 it was registered as a private non-enterprise unit, with 9 regular staff and a volunteer team of about 170 people.

With the vision of China's native wild cats living in harmony with human generations, and the principle of scientific protection, we have three strategic directions:
1. Committed to scientifically assessing the conservation status of 12 species of cats, identifying priority protection areas, and assisting the government in formulating conservation strategies;
2. Select key protected areas of threatened cats to carry out local conservation practices;
Third, public advocacy, to promote social awareness and protection actions for the coexistence of people and cats.
Why recruit?
Cat Alliance has mainly done wild protection work before, and from this year onwards, we will make efforts in the matter of "people".
Through public advocacy, nature education and other activities, we plan to let more people like animals and understand how wildlife conservation in China is.
This requires more people to join us, and although our existing people are all bursting with combat effectiveness, they are not enough.

Three principles of recruitment
Today I would like to talk about the three principles of our recruitment.
First, it must be certain
Be fond of wildlife (plants).
What kind of likes?
You should at least have an interest in naturalism.
Birds, beasts, fishes, insects, two climbs, plants, no limit.
Yellow-waisted sunbird, gecko, Tibetan pika, grey forest owl © big cat
Love mixes and waters in various nature lovers' sticker bars and is not kicked.
If you are on holidays or have leisure, it is not comfortable to go out to watch birds / find two climbs / be a plant hunter.
When it comes to reading books, there must be several species atlases at home.
Hitting these two points at least shows that you are a curious nature observation enthusiast.
If you still can't help but look up the literature, write some species stories, nature observation stories, and especially want to tell others what is interesting about animals and plants.
Then you look like the person we are looking for.
To summarize:
It is not based on professionalism and seniority.
But it takes your interest enough to keep driving you to have a passion for finding out and sparkling.
Second, it is necessary to have professional ability and professional quality
Don't be a giant baby, "I'm still a kid" mentality.
Old people will bring new people, but we need you to fight alongside us.
You can be inexperienced, but you have to be good at it. Protection requires passion, but also competence.
The old M2 will take you off!
Have an open mind at work.
I hope you are good at finding problems and more courageous to solve problems.
It's more important than what you do and do well.
It's more important to achieve what to do than to do well.
Entering the pit is a comrade-in-arms, and they need to trust each other, charge together, and do not drop the chain.
3, Daring in charge
Have the courage to break through your own limitations and mentality
Protection is something that needs to be constantly explored.
China's conservation work is far from mature and perfect, so our protection path will be accompanied by continuous failures.
Different animals face different problems, and Cat Alliance emphasizes solving practical problems and doing things that are useful to animals, so it is necessary to constantly try and summarize.
Our knowledge of wildlife, the accumulation of conservation experience, and the improvement of professional capabilities also depend on the continuous exploration and learning of individuals and teams.
Whether it is any part of the research, community, dissemination or education involved in conservation, there are untapped boundaries that can be endlessly refined.
It takes courage to break through yourself, and you also need to keep learning.

Clever little stories
Four years of growing up with Cat Alliance
Many people think that the protection work is informal, unstable, and insecure, and that the protection is just a whim.
But most importantly: What is your ideal? What kind of person do you want to be? Are you brave enough to be yourself?
I always remember why I walked into cat alliances.
I am a rookie birdwatcher and have only seen more than three hundred species of birds so far.
But I distinctly remember that when I first saw the color and luster of the bird through the telescope, I felt a pleasant calm.
A cleverly photographed brown-backed Burrow
I don't remember the name of the bird, but I remember the bone-top chicken with it.
In the days that followed, I lifted the telescope countless times, and I was curious and calm like the mood of watching birds now.
Perhaps by fate, I developed my love of bird watching in a non-profit organization that protects cats.
In fact, anyone who loves animals can find a sense of home here.
There is still a starry sky above our heads.
Of course, storks were first bird people, and now they have become a party of fish shooters, thick picture books are filled with bookcases, birds, animals, fish and insects are all-encompassing.
Big cats too, shoot everything.
His bookcase is estimated to be the same as the stork.
Especially ancient Chinese snakes, world owls, and world cat books are also piled up.
There is a photo that I remember very deeply, they and Uncle Mingzi are lying on the ground with their butts on the ground to shoot the purple gray brocade snake, and Xiao Zhao is patting people and snakes on the side.
Whether from the beginning, now, or in the future, loving wildlife and observing nature will be something that cats are rooted in.
Let's start with the word not "public good", but the most important component of the world's charm - biodiversity.
The mission of protecting felines is intellectual and emotional choice (chosen by the master).
When we are faced with more and more choices and decisions, just think about the original intention and mission, and the troubles will be solved.
All work will be reduced to trivial and ordinary, only interest will continue to ignite enthusiasm, and the sense of achievement in creating value with peers will be the best self-driving force to make us move forward.
Finally, I hope you can be here and become an irreplaceable person.
