Qilu Network Lightning News, March 17, recently, a villager in Qihe County found a rare bird near his doorstep. According to wildlife experts, this bird is called crested ibis (pì) (tī), which is a national second-class protected animal.

The bird is shaped like a duck, with a straight and pointed beak. The foot is particularly posterior, with each front toe having a flap (pǔ). The tail is particularly short , with a small body , about 100 mm long , and towering feathers on the top of the head.
According to wildlife experts, it feeds on small fish, shrimp and insects, and usually swims on the surface of the water, rarely on land.
In China, it mainly breeds in Hei, Ji, Liao, Inner Mongolia and other places, and when wintering, it passes through Hebei, Henan, Shaanxi and other provinces, and moves to southern Tibet, Yunnan, Sichuan, Anhui, as well as the south of the Yangtze River, the southeast coast, Taiwan and other vast areas.
How did this crested ibis appear in Qihe? Everyone speculates that in recent years, the ecological environment of the Qi River has become better and better, attracting many rare birds to inhabit the rivers and lakes and other waters in the territory. This crested clam may have fallen alone on the way to migration.
Wang Jinlong, a wildlife expert in Qihe, said: "Now take it back first, and veterinarians will diagnose and treat it." If you have the ability to survive in the wild, let it return to nature. If the injury is more serious and loses the ability to survive in the wild, we will carry out artificial feeding to provide it with a living environment close to the original ecology. ”
