On the morning of September 25th, Pingdu City held the "National Fitness • You and I Walk Together" Pingdu Xianhe Walking Activity in the Olympic Sports Center and the Xianhe (Shenzhen Road to Shenyang Road) around the river, and more than 2,000 citizens from all walks of life gathered at the event site to experience the new corridor along the river and appreciate the ecological beauty, exquisite beauty and vitality here.

Pre-race activities
Although it rained lightly in the sky, it could not stop the pace of citizens' fitness. At about 6:50 a.m., the public entered the Olympic Sports Center Stadium one after another, and at about 7:00 a.m., a wonderful opening dance kicked off the walk.
Official competition
At about 7:30 a.m., the walking activity was officially launched, and the public set off from the Olympic Sports Center and walked around the river along the current river (Shenzhen Road to Shenyang Road). There are two routes in this walking activity, and the public can choose their own walking routes according to their actual situation.
Route 1: The total length is about 15 kilometers, and it is expected to take 3 to 3.5 hours.
Olympic Sports Center Stadium - along the east bank of the current river towards Shenyang Road (via Xiamen Road, Qingdao Road, Shengli Road, Hongqi Road, Renmin Road, Nanjing Road, Tianjin Road, Shenyang Road) - turn left to the west bank of the current river and head towards Shenzhen Road (via Tianjin Road, Nanjing Road, Renmin Road, Hongqi Road, Shengli Road, Qingdao Road, Xiamen Road, Shenzhen Road) - turn left to Shenzhen Road Xianhe Bridge - turn left to Xianhe East Road - Olympic Sports Center.
Route 2: The total length is about 8 kilometers, and it is expected to take 2 to 2.5 hours.
Olympic Sports Center Stadium - along the east bank of the current river in the direction of Hongqi Road (via Xiamen Road, Qingdao Road, Shengli Road, Hongqi Road) - turn left to the west bank of the current river to the direction of Shenzhen Road - turn left to Shenzhen Road Xianhe Bridge - turn left to the current Hedong Road - Olympic Sports Center.

"Surrounded by water on three sides and a mountain, a jade belt through the middle", in order to improve the overall style of the current river, create a landscape effect of the jade belt through the city, and provide a good place for leisure and activities for the general public, the municipal party committee and the municipal government will implement the rectification and upgrading project of the current river park (Shuangmiao Reservoir to the Zehe River) in 2021, the total length of the project is about 15 kilometers, the project contains 4 major systems, the main construction content is river dredging, greening on both sides of the strait, landscape river water replenishment pipeline and lifting pump station construction, embankment construction, the east and west roads of the current river, Construction of water storage buildings, restoration and construction of aquatic ecosystems, construction of bicycle lanes and sidewalks, etc.
Reconstruct the transportation organization system along the river
Open up the east-west road of the current river, run through the whole line of bicycles and pedestrian passages, and establish a perfect microcirculation system for traffic along the river to further alleviate the pressure of urban travel.
Reconstruct the water ecology and water safety environment of the river
Implement the water replenishment and upgrading project of the whole landscape river and the rainwater and sewage pipeline project along the river, solve the problem of the single source of the river water body, eliminate the hidden danger of sewage entering the river during the flood season, and achieve the water effect of "jade belt through the city".
Reshape landscape systems along the river
Based on the principle of "flowers in three seasons and evergreen in all seasons", the whole line of greening upgrading and transformation projects is implemented to create a well-layered and staggered ecological corridor along the river landscape.
Reconstruct the urban leisure and tourism system
Implement the construction of landscape sketches, the transformation of squares along the river, and the construction of sports and leisure facilities, create a slow life system for people, cities and ecology, paint a beautiful picture of "smooth rivers, clear water, green shores, and beautiful scenery", so that citizens can "not go out of the city and get the pleasure of mountains and rivers, and live in the downtown and get the fun of forests and springs".
