"Zhenguan Politicians" is a political history book written by the Tang Dynasty historian Wu Jing. The book of ten volumes and forty articles, classified and edited during the twenty-three years of Tang Taizong's reign, with Wei Zheng, Fang Xuanling, Du Ruyi and other ministers in the administration of the problems, the ministers' controversies, advice, discussions, etc., in order to standardize the ideology and morality of the monarchs and the ideology of governing the military and government, in addition to recording some major political and economic measures. The people of the road are disappointed. This sincerity divides the people equally, and all are the same as the seven sons. However, the difficulties of the people and the beginning of the plan, the lack of daily use, are all based on the foreword of the state's remorse, two or three virtues. The courtiers eavesdropped, the heavens helped by benevolence, and the helpers of man believed. Now His Majesty has first attained the title of Great Treasure (3), Yizhao Guande. Although the final effect of this practice was the same for the people, it was difficult for the lower classes to understand the intentions of the imperial court at the beginning. Moreover, they are now short of food and clothing, and their daily use is insufficient. They think it is the policy of the state to repent, and what they say does not count. I have heard privately that God is assisted by a benevolent monarch, and that the people are helping the trustworthy. Now that His Majesty has just ascended to the throne of the Son of Heaven, hundreds of millions of people are watching the virtues of the Son of Heaven. As soon as the Holy Decree is issued, it changes, and by doing so it will make the people suspicious and dishonest to the world. Even at a time when the country is in a very critical crisis, it is impossible to do this, let alone today's country is as safe as Taishan, but it does such a thing! The man who came up with such an idea for His Majesty, although he could have a little benefit in wealth, suffered a great loss in moral benevolence! I am indeed short-sighted, but privately I feel sorry for Your Majesty. May Your Majesty go through my sonatas, carefully weigh the pros and cons, and bear the guilt of daring to write a book."

Even if the Division of the Order is listed as a matter, the State Division of the Qin Dynasty is not an official property. Emperor Taizong was very angry, so he issued an order saying: "Men who have not yet become ding, even if they have not reached the age of eighteen, as long as they are physically strong, will be conscripted into the army." Wei Zheng disagreed and refused to sign and issue the order. Emperor Taizong summoned Wei Zheng and Wang Jue, who was furious and said to them, "If a man who has not yet become a ding is too young, he will naturally not be conscripted into the army; if he is really strong, he can also join the army. You are so stubborn that I can't understand your thoughts." Wei Zheng said solemnly, "I heard that the water in the pond is dried up to fish, and the consequence of this is of course not that there are no fish to be caught, but that there are no fish to catch in the second year; setting fire to the forest to hunt is not that it is impossible to catch wild beasts, but that there are no more wild beasts to catch in the second year." If all the men in the family who have not yet attained the age of din are called into the army, who will bear the burden of the state's taxation? Slowly, the soldiers of the country will lose their combat effectiveness, is it because there are fewer soldiers? No, it is because the national ritual education is not good, resulting in people having no fighting spirit. However, since His Majesty took the throne, several major things he has done have not been convincing, so why should he win the trust of others?" Wei Zheng said: "When Your Majesty first ascended the throne, he issued an edict saying: All kinds of debts owed to the government in the past have been forgiven. The property that His Majesty possessed when he was the King of Qin was not owned by the government. Your Majesty succeeded to the throne from the King of Qin, and your things are not the property of the official family, so where do the other official property come from? When the people heard about this, everyone felt bathed in the grace of the emperor, and no one was unhappy. How can the hearts of the people be steadfast in receiving or not reaping, changing from day to day? All the property that has been expropriated is used to replenish the army, and the measures promulgated must be implemented from the second year onwards. The governance of a place lies in the history of thorns and county orders, and every year things like conscription are entrusted to them, and as for the selection and statistics of military personnel, they are suspected of hypocrisy and fraud, and there is no doubt about the use of people, and there is no doubt about the use of suspects. His Majesty conceals his shortcomings and accepts everything he has, but he is committing treachery, attaching himself to his blasphemy, and committing many acts of rudeness in order to take the name of strength. Falsely accusing Xuan Ling, rebuking Zhang Liang, and doing nothing to solemnize (2), in vain to damage Shengming. The people of the road are all slanderous. The subject of the Sacred Heart will not think that he is deeply calculated, but may entrust him with the task of being a pillar, and will use his omniscience to warn the people. If you believe in evil and return to evil, you should not make small plans, and the group of ministers will not be pretentious, and the air will make the subordinates centrifugal. Those who are young and bright cannot stretch their way, and the rest are neglected, who can avoid their deception? May Your Majesty pay attention and think again. Since the two were driven, there has been a benefit, and the subject is willing to axe and suffer the crime of infidelity. If His Majesty fails to do good deeds to honor virtue, how can he commit adultery and harm himself?"? His Wanji was gradually exposed, Renfa was also deposed, and Wanji degraded Sima Lianzhou (3). His Majesty conceals their shortcomings and listens to them completely. They then plotted against the inferiors and deceived the superiors, and did many rude things to gain the good name of Geng Zhi. They framed Fang Xuanling and rebuked Zhang Liang, but they could not clean up the imperial court, but they damaged the wisdom of the saint in vain. People on the road have all accused and discussed. I privately guessed that the divine mind would not have thought that they were well-intentioned and could be entrusted with the heavy responsibility of the pillars of the country, probably because they used their unavoidable words and deeds to warn and supervise the courtiers. But even if you really trust these unrighteous people, you can't use villains to calculate the ministers, not to mention that the subordinates did not correct the falsehood, and doing so will only make the subordinates centrifugal. Even people like Fang Xuanling and Zhang Liang have no way to argue for the right, and as for other people who are estranged and have low positions, who can avoid them from bullying and framing? I hope That Your Majesty will think again. Since the appointment of these two men, even if they have done a good thing to the country, the subjects have been willing to be cursed with axes and guilty of disloyalty. Even if His Majesty fails to elect good people to spread holiness, how can he introduce treachery and evil and damage his own prestige?" Quan Wanji's bad deeds were gradually exposed, and Li Renfa was also dismissed from his post and expelled. Quan Wanji was demoted to Sima of Lianzhou, and the courtiers congratulated each other.

In the sixth year of Zhenguan, someone sued Shang Shu right Wei Zheng, saying that he was a relative of his A Dang (1). Emperor Taizong sent Emperor Wen Yanbo to examine the case, but the speaker was not straight. Yan Bo said that the levy is humane, although it is selfless, it is also responsible. Only then did Emperor Taizong wake up, his face changed and he said, "The last time I said this, I soon felt regretful, and I really said it very wrong." And don't let that mean you're going to be shy." Wei Zheng then bowed down and said, "I have handed over my body to the state, I have done things justly, and I will never dare to engage in any deceitful acts, but I hope that Your Majesty will let me be a good minister and not let me be a loyal minister." Emperor Taizong asked, "What is the difference between a loyal minister and a good minister?"
