Darlene told police she went out with friends that night. When she returned, Keith was furious at the credit card bill, and they had a fight, and that night she slept in their son's room. When she woke up in the morning, she found the door open, probably a thief who had broken in.
It was later discovered that the thieves were not involved at all.
Darlene was the one who shot her husband with 22 pistols in her own gun, and she could safely claim his $750,000 insurance payment.
