Prison Note 75 - "Babylon"

author:Hao wai

The prison notes have not been updated for several days, and today I have time to continue updating. The movie I want to talk to you about today was first released in 1973, and was later remade by the United States and released in 2018. Most of the movies that can be remade are classic films, and this "Babylon" is naturally no exception. I've seen both of these films, and relatively speaking, I still like the first one, although the time is a little older, but I think it's better to act.

Prison Note 75 - "Babylon"

This prison break movie has a simple plot, no exquisite and meticulous techniques, and no modern high technology. But this story of the unjust prisoner who really happened was enough to shock the world and enter the history of the film. In 1933, henry the Frenchman was wrongly convicted of murder and taken into custody in French Guiana to serve his sentence. Because he had a butterfly tattoo on his chest, he was called "Babilon" there. He became acquainted with Luis, who had been arrested for forging documents and embezzling public funds, and the two teamed up to plan to flee the place.

The film is based on a true story, 22 years before The Shawshank Redemption, and I feel more shocking than The Shawshank Redemption, where the harsh and desperate conditions of French Guiana make it essentially impossible to escape, because even if you run out, you are in the jungle. In the film, The Film shows that Babylon does not abandon Louis, and Louis finally gives up fleeing, hoping that Babylon can truly gain freedom so that the whole film has been sublimated and shines with the brilliance of human nature.

Prison Note 75 - "Babylon"

Two failures, seven years of dark confinement, a yearning for freedom... With tenacity and indomitability, it is no longer possible to express the strength of Henry's heart, he is like the tattoo "butterfly" he gave himself, breaking free of the shackles and breaking the cocoon into a butterfly!
