At present, the flood prevention situation in Henan is still grim, the emergency response to natural disasters has been adjusted to the first level, and various flood prevention and rescue operations are being carried out smoothly.
According to preliminary statistics, since July 16, as of 16:00 on the 24th, heavy rainfall in Henan has caused 9.3057 million people in 137 counties, cities and districts and towns in the province to be affected.
In 13 counties, 31,300 people in urban areas, 58 people died and 5 people were missing.
Li Changxun, deputy director of the Emergency Management Department of Henan Province, said that from July 23 to 24 at 7:00 a.m., heavy rains occurred in Pingdingshan, Shangqiu, Kaifeng, Hebi and other places in Luoyang, and the precipitation in 6 provinces exceeded 50 mm. Affected by continuous rainfall, super floods occurred in the Qi River, Dasha River, Wei River, Anyang River and Communist Luck Canal. Super guard floods occurred in the Ying, Red, Qin and Huiji rivers. There are 13 large reservoirs and 44 medium-sized reservoirs in the province that exceed the flood limit. In Jun County, Hebi City, the left bank of the Wei River collapsed to form a breach.
The right bank has divided the floods according to the flood discharge plan and 6 stranded areas have been activated, the water level is falling, and the current number of people displaced is 27,000 people, with no casualties.
According to preliminary statistics, Henan has transferred 814,900 people in emergency risk, resettled 1,141,100 people, and the number of people in need of emergency living assistance has reached 444,100. The disaster situation is still under further statistics and verification.
As of July 23, 11.32 million mu of farmland in Henan Province had been flooded, and 10.68 million mu of crops had been affected. There are 1,678 farms affected, the damaged area of the breeding circle is 1.038 million square meters, and about 1.037 million livestock and poultry have died; the cumulative number of 270,000 mu of the aquaculture industry has been affected, of which 34,000 mu has been destroyed.
From July 23 to 24, the Ministry of Emergency Management launched the third round of cross-regional reinforcement operations, urgently mobilizing the forest fire brigade, the national safety production emergency rescue team and more than 1,100 provincial emergency drainage professional teams in Hubei, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Guangdong and other provinces. A total of 264 sets of high-flow drainage equipment rushed to Zhengzhou, Henan, Xinxiang and Hebi to perform flood drainage and rescue tasks.
