Raúl has been called the greatest Spanish striker in the history of Real Madrid and has been the most goalscored player in the history of the Spanish national team until he was overtaken by David Villa Sanchez. He also overtook Alfredo di Stéfano in Real Madrid's all-time goalscoring list, but he didn't stay at the top of the table long because of Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, although Raúl is not the most goalscored player in the history of the Spanish national team and Real Madrid, he is definitely one of the best Spanish strikers in the history of world football.
