Zhang Chu's latest album "Self-Confidence" won the Tencent Musicians Force Project Annual Album Award

On May 28, the Tencent Musicians Original Forum was held in Beijing. Zhang Chu appeared at the final awards ceremony and was awarded the Album of the Year Award.

In tribute to the musicians and behind-the-scenes workers, in the final session of the forum, Tencent Music awarded special honors to singer-songwriters and behind-the-scenes producers who have performed well in the field of original music in the past year.

Zhang Chu, Zhu Jingxi Akini Jing, Zhang Gayi, Jian Hongyi, Ma Tiao, Ju Hongchuan and other 23 musicians and behind-the-scenes workers were awarded 10 honors such as Tencent Musician Recommended Musician of the Year, Star of the Year Musician, Potential Musician of the Year, Musician of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Lyricist, Composer, Arranger and Producer of the Force Project.

Among them, the latest album of veteran rocker Zhang Chu, "Self-Confidence", won the Tencent Musicians Force Program Annual Album Award.

From 2018 to 2020, Zhang Chu released two albums in a row in two years, and also dabbled in film and television and stage plays, intangible cultural heritage songwriting, performances, and participated in the documentary "Faxian". "Self-Confidence" is his album released last year, and some people say that now he has returned to the peak of his creative desire, and is also one of the most "high-profile" musicians in the "Magic Rock Three Masters" compared to the other two.

Zhang Chu said that "Self-Confidence" is a work that tries to remove the functions given by the outside and return to its own spiritual will. I hope that everyone does not care about the external demands of the world, nor does it care about the ideal drive, and loves the original face of life.
