Wang Yi said that there is a high degree of consensus among the majority of member states on the sense of urgency to strengthen multilateralism. Next year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. China supports the United Nations in organizing a series of commemorative activities, promoting multilateralism, opposing unilateralism, resolutely safeguarding the central role of the United Nations in international affairs, and safeguarding the common interests of the international community, especially developing countries. China supports the United Nations in making the implementation of the 2030 Agenda a priority, especially in the areas of poverty reduction, education and climate change. China will continue to give its full support to the work of the United Nations and further strengthen coordination and cooperation with the United Nations.

Bandi congratulated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and highly appreciated the great achievements made in China's development. He said that under the current circumstances, it is extremely important to uphold multilateralism, and no country can fight the world, and no country can override the United Nations. It is hoped that the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations next year will be taken as an opportunity to further demonstrate the consensus and determination of the international community to support multilateralism and strengthen international cooperation. We thank China for its important contribution to promoting world peace and development, and eagerly look forward to China's continued vigorous support for the work of the United Nations. (End)
