On the afternoon of July 13, the "2021 China Internet Conference - Green and Low Carbon New Data Center Forum" organized by the Internet Society of China and the Open Data Center Committee (ODCC) was held at the National Convention Center. Zhang Huan, Director of the Policy and Standards Division of the Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the conference and delivered a speech, and experts from leading data center companies in the industry, such as the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the National Environmental Management Standards Committee, Alibaba, Inspur, CICC Data, and OPPO, gathered together to talk about green and low-carbon data centers. During the meeting, the results of the second batch of data center low-carbon grade assessment were released, and the Beijing No. 2 data center of CICC Cloud Network was awarded the "Carbon Emission Reduction Data Center Innovator (Operation Category)" rating, taking a new step to further build a green and low-carbon high-grade data center.

In the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China has clearly put forward the strategic direction of carbon reduction as the key, promoted the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, realized the improvement of ecological environment quality from quantitative to qualitative change, and promised that China will strive to achieve carbon peaking by 2030 and "achieve carbon neutrality by 2060". The data center industry actively practices carbon neutrality, which will be of great significance to China's realization of the 2060 goal. Since its commissioning, CICC Cloud Network Beijing Data Center has always adhered to the green and low-carbon development route, and through the use of low-carbon energy-saving technology and advanced management system, it has continued to reduce the PUE value of the data center for many years, becoming the first batch of national green data center pilot units for third-party data centers in the financial field.
The Beijing No. 2 Data Center of CICC Cloud Network won the rating of "Carbon Emission Reduction Data Center Innovator (Operation Category)", which was jointly carried out by the Open Data Center Committee (ODCC), the Press and Publicity Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and the Yunda Institute affiliated to the Academy of Information and Communications Technology was responsible for the organization and review work, and evaluated from three dimensions: data center energy and carbon utilization efficiency, low-carbon energy-saving technologies and solutions, and low-carbon strategy and management. It comprehensively reflects the excellent achievements of CICC Cloud Network Beijing Data Center in low-carbon energy management and technology application, and provides a new path and new ideas for CICC Cloud Network to practice the "carbon neutrality" strategy in the next step.
Located in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, CICC Cloud Network Beijing Data Center covers an area of 100 acres, is the first large-scale high-grade data center designed for social services in China, with a total planned construction area of 105,000 square meters, passed the M&O (Operation, Maintenance and Management) certification of the well-known international data center organization Uptime Institute, and became the first batch of national green data center pilot units for the financial field in China. At the same time, based on high-level data centers, CICC Cloud Network has strategic cooperation with well-known manufacturers at home and abroad, integrates the high-quality cloud computing financial service platform built by CICC for many years of financial information system service experience, focuses on providing one-stop cloud service solutions for customers in the financial industry, and gradually provides professional enterprise-level cloud services with diversified needs for the whole industry.
