Before the end of this year, Jiangsu will also start construction of the Hefei-Shanghai section of the Shanghai-Yurong high-speed railway (North Yanjiang high-speed railway), as well as four railways, including the Tongsu-Jia-Yong Railway, the Yantai-Xichangyi Railway, and the Jiangsu section of the Hefei-Xinyi Railway.
The Yantai-Xichangyi Railway, which crosses the Yangtze River vertically, strings together Yancheng, Taizhou, Yangzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Wuxi's Yixing.
There are 11 stations on the whole line, namely Yancheng, Anfeng West (reserved), Xinghua East, Taizhou South, Taixing East, Jingjiang East, Jiangyin, Huishan, Taihu West, Yixing West (reserved), Yixing, etc. The Yantai-Xichangyi Railway is designed to have a speed of 350 km/h (250 km across the River from Jingjiang to Changzhou).

Ling Yaochu, chief engineer of the Department of Transportation of Jiangsu Province, introduced that since the beginning of this year, the Provincial Department of Transportation and the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security have actively promoted the third-generation social security card loading traffic travel function, organized the implementation of the upgrading and transformation of the province's transportation card platform, and realized real-time docking with the provincial human resources and social security integration platform and the IC card merchant card platform in terms of functions such as card making, recharge, cancellation, card replacement, clear settlement, electronic invoice, etc., and fully supported the issuance and recharge of the third-generation social security card with transportation and travel functions.
Up to now, Nanjing, Suzhou, Changzhou, Taizhou, Lianyungang, Suqian 6 prefectures and cities have officially issued a third-generation social security card loaded with traffic travel functions, and the province has issued a total of 3.78 million third-generation social security cards with transportation travel functions, effectively solving the problem of inconvenience for the masses to use "one person and multiple cards", reducing the cost of card handling, simplifying the card handling process, and greatly facilitating the people's transportation.
