(Dalian News Media Group reporter Xu Yuanyuan) Yesterday, in the warm sunshine, the 20th Dalian International Winter Swimming Festival kicked off in the Star Bay. 25 winter swimming teams from our city participated in the opening ceremony, and through activities such as team review, open water competition, environmental protection beach cleaning, etc., Dalian winter swimmers fully demonstrated their warm feelings of embracing the sea all year round.
The 20th Dalian International Winter Swimming Festival is hosted by Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau and Dalian Municipal Sports Federation, and hosted by Dalian Winter Swimming Association. Due to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, this year's activities are limited to personnel from Dalian. Of the 30 winter swimming teams registered by the Dalian Winter Swimming Association, 22 teams participated in the event. The last disabled winter swimming team to appear in the on-site party review has attracted much attention.
It is understood that this winter swimming festival has set up a branch venue in the Haidi Swimming Pool, and the project is an indoor pool competition, using the latest swimming competition rules approved by the State General Administration of Sports, according to the age and gender of the participants, from 18 years old to 70 years old, grouped into groups for 4 kinds of swimming postures.
